Maryland's Who's who!
Nice updates guys, looking at renting a boat at Burke Lake in VA next weekend. Didn't do it today as you pay for a day no matter how much you use it, so will make a full day out of it.

Maryland's Who's who!
Thank you for the tip Munkin. I need to find some good walleye bait in the area. Would like to try out some local lakes this weekend that snakehead stated but need to find some crawlers or even leaches.

Maryland's Who's who!
hahahaha nice lead in. On a serious note, I bought some nice rods then got a gander mountain vortex that's short and perfect for jigging. It realed in a few 24" walleyes with it and was impressed considering it was on sale for 30-40 bucks at the time. I normally fish with the st Croix tournament legend but was impressed with the sensitivity of the vortex for the price. Not sure if they are still on sale online.

Maryland's Who's who!
Have you fished lake brittle or burke? saw on takemefishing.org that there are walleye there as well as Lake Anne right next to brittle. I don't have a boat out here due to storage hassles so will be looking for good off shore locations.

Did you fall or did you hook something big?

Maryland's Who's who!
Brian, that's what I hear. I remember basser, I think, was catching some along the Potomac. he had some nice photos of walleyes. I found a couple ponds/lakes near manassas va with walleyes supposedly. Will let you know how it goes. http://takemefishing.org/fishing/places/bodyofwater/288826/#.U7AclSBOXIU Fishing in MN was great, and I brought plenty of northern pike back to pickle. I have my cousin's grand parents recipe for pickled fish. We caught so many walleyes also.

Beware Billo Road Wny
I would visit the local police department to voice your concern, my bet it wasnt them but some irresponsible gun handlers. Even in the army, we have spotters at our ranges watching for anyone wandering on the ranges or even large game even with all of the control measures. Very important especially when firing our M240B's and .50Cal's. I would think the police would do the same if people fish the lake. Any range is also supposed to have berms to stop any rounds and if the police use the range, i would think they have have this among other control measures.

Strike King Lures Falling Apart
Wow, i have alot of respect for this company to register on the forums to take care of their customers. I have never seen this before. BTW, i look forward to trying out the SK lipless crankbaits that I just purchased from cabelas.

Minnesota Bass
I have seen some big bass caught from oxide lake on the iron range also, white swan is another good lake but no public water access and need to know someone with land to fish it. All the big bass i had on in white swam broke my line, havent fished it in a long time since enlisting 12 years ago. Brother-in-law is building a new cabin so many go back up in July.

From someone who has been sponsored and now is not....
Growing up in MN, i am very framiiar with these mods, very expensive, i race quads and found out it was fun and even with good finishes the end result was debt. I still race snowmobiles locally in MN because i love it and get alot of support from local mechanics.

Maryland's Who's who!
King Fisher, While i was deployed (I just returned 2 months ago from Afghanistan), my storage unit was broken into so I am using the insurance settlement to build my new box as they stole mine among many other things. I started with lipless crankbaits as this is my lure of choice and bought the old styles i grew up using on ebay and all they new stuff on cabelas. I have about 10-15 different cranks now. My weapon of choice for bass has always been spinner/buzz baits. Luckily I found a nice lot of 40 on ebay and got those for 40 some dollars. I really want to try out the northland spinner/buzz baits. Always catch fish with their stuff so I assume will be the same case for their bass lures, time will tell. Since we will be in the same area, it would be to easy to set up some fishing on the weekend and you are welcome to try some stuff out to see if it works. I may even have an extra as some of the lots of rapalas I bought had up to 3 of the same lure. I am anxious to try the rapala clackin minnows.. (Dive to a maximum of about 3 ft), the lipless i have work phenominally well in MN.

Maryland's Who's who!
Sweet, cabelas just had a blow out sale on one knockers and bought every size and color. Havent been able to use them yet, but will be spending a month in MN on my way out. You are absolutely correct, i have alot of lipless cranks also for the very reasons you mentioned. When I arrive, we will need to do some fishing and I can let you use some that I have good luck with also. I also bought some Yo Zuri rattle n vibes, live target gizzed shad traps, and Lucky Craft Pro Tune LVR Series. Looking forward to using these and seeing how they do.

Basser, what kind of lipless cranks do you use. I have used alot but love the x-raps and clackin raps. Never tried any for bass though.
