Very nice, thanks for the reply. Did you catch those pigs by the dam? I never try there I've just been goin straight to the stumps which havent been that fruitful. And also if you wouldn't mind sharing what you were throwin when you caught those?

i fished lake mercer this mornin for several hours and didnt have much luck. i think my problem was i spent to much time walking and not enough time fishing! this was my second time there so i decided just to walk alot and see what i see. i parked at the park entrance off Hooes rd and ended up way down by the stumps at the back of the lake. Is there anywhere else to park to get to that side of the lake quicker? and any other general tips about the lake? like what works for you there and what spots you fish? thanks, Keith

a couple of the guys on my crew at the firehouse bass fish so that gives us something to talk about on slow nights. and im lucky enough to have a best friend who has a private pond on his farm and we fish together every monday evening. I am even luckier to have a girlfriend who enjoys bass fishing!

i fish from shore at occoquan park and have a little luck. its highly pressured but if you throw something different at them they'll hit it.

i was planning on trying fountain head this week. ive never been but ill give yall a report afterwards.

when i fish a buddies small private pond in the evenings i have tremendous luck with poppers n frogs.

ive had luck with my putty/black spro frog. i use koppers also and like them alot.

Hello all- My name is Keith Dionise and i was born and raised here in Manassas VA. Although i have fished my whole life i have only really heavily gotten into to bass fishing this past year. I found this forum and hope to learn alot here. I am a member of other forums for other things so i know to use the search tool before asking basic questions so dont worry haha. I currently am attending community college in pursuit of a degree in criminal jusitce and I am a volunteer firefighter with my local fire department.
