  1. Will do! I need another Chronarch but in a 5
  2. I try and keep them in the bags. They won't totally dry out, but will loose their scent over time. I just take what I plan on using that trip and put them in my bag. I leave the rest at home or in the truck
  3. Use you FH points and grab one of those TFO rods . I need a few more and I'm going to get one.
  4. So far I've been more than impressed. I hate nothing more than to have equipment I worked hard for go belly up. What about that kid from Grinnell Jack Taylor that hit 138 last year? Or are you talking before the 3 point shots?
  5. That's got to be the most absurd post I've ever seen.
  6. I got sick of repeat trips to Bass Pro, Academy and Pure Fishing. The first one was a Curado G that I have ran hard for 6 months now without one single hitch!
  7. No coffee in the morning? I might accidentally kill someone without my coffee that early lol
  8. I'm not gonna say it makes the Revo look like a Walmart 3.99 special, but I noticed a decent amount of distance over my S. it's much quieter than the S too. No annoying racket when you cast a lure. Getting to the breaks was eaiser, the side plate never falls off. Less play in the handle over the S too. Cleaning was eaiser to me. Only two bearings compared to the revos 3. When you feel the 50E's size and weight it blows the S away.
  9. Deeps right. Evens are rightys and odds are lefties. The 7 is a burner, 6 med and 5 for cranking. Your a south paw correct? I'f so it would be 201E6
  10. I was always the exact opposite, I couldn't stand the mag breaks. I just switch from 3 to 4 breaks when I'm casting into the wind
  11. My iPhone is developing a case of CRS typo lol
  12. I think it's heavier than the STX. Runs 7.6 ounces and no mag breaks. For me I didn't like em. I think you will really like it. If you look at one, make see to fondle the 50E Chronarch. That sucker is itty bitty and light!
  13. Thanks for the video. I tried a little bit of variety, just got burnt with doing it.
  14. Gotcha. I didn't realize that about the EVA handles. I see your point on the promo's now.
  15. I had some issues with a Lews, and eventually every Abu I had either went back to Pure fishing or back to Bass Pro for an exchange. I loved all my Abu products, I just hated that every single one of them had some little quirk I couldn't love with. Main thing I like better is the noise. Or lack there of it. All of my newer gen Abu's were too noisy on the cast. I'm very anal about stuff breaking. I lost faith in my Abu's and didn't enjoy fishing them near as much.
  16. Hey guys. Over the last few months, have I slowly switched everything I have (reel wise) over to Shimano. I am by no means an expert on the company or why they do things, but I thought maybe someone here would. For starters, just about every other company has bent handles and bent stars on their reels now. I like the look and the way it feels. Why have they not jumped on it yet? EVA knobs. That seems to be the norm on higher end stuff now. I would like to see them on the Shimano line up. Lastly, why no promotions? Abu has the hoodie freebie deal as well as several other companies. Ive never seen one with Shimano. Thanks in advance
  17. Thanks sir!
  18. The Copper Craw hairs I have drive them crazy in the winter time here. Weird thing is, I could never get a bite flipping it or dead sticking it. I had to swim it, almost burn it then let it drop. Every drop they killed it as it glided down! But the Black series jig are killer year round in any water. Brandon Shultz's video on them rocks. Shows the crazy action on them.
  19. That looks killer Steve! On the menace twin tail, which you you recommend the tails to me verticals or horizontal with the jig? I am going to order some in the Bluegill pattern next payday. They look more like a crappie and may match my new jig to a T
  20. I've got 2. First is the Berkley havoc subwoofer and the 2nd is a Rage Tail Shell cracker or even a Rage Tail Menace
  21. I only use North Star jigs now. Black blue and Mistake color for dirty waters and lots of greens and browns for clear.
  22. I'd get as fast as you can. Like pond boss said, top water is more reeling in slack line. Your rod does most of the work with top water. Get as fast as you can, and you can use the same reel for other techniques or if you decide to sell it, the faster the gears, the better it sells.
  23. I know I use a flip n swim jig for both techniques and do very well. I caught my PB in oklahoma flipping one.
