  1. NP. They are supposed to make a good small swimbait too. I've never used them for that, but I don't see why not.
  2. Yes. I use 3 colors as my main trailer on my swim jigs. They are very durable and great priced. The tail has alot of action even when slow rolling across grass or the bottom. I find them on sale all the time for 1.99. Great bait
  3. You may have given me another combo to try. I only have the NSCB flip n swims. The shell crackers not too much for it?
  4. Because I called you out for being two faced? If this place is so bad man, why are you still here?
  5. Sam, You got ticked cause you said you made something that was a viable option for the rage tail line of craws and people jumped on your case that's its not a replacement for everyone. Your feelings got hurt and you ran to another forum and started a 3 page thread that was basically one panty in a wad after another. No big deal. Childish as it was, everyone deserves their time on the perverbial soap box. Hell I even said some of the comments were ridiculous. I you want a pat on the back, I stopped getting those when I graduated kindergarten! Great fantastic you made something that works wonders! There, it's your 15 minutes of fame brother. God knows you need it! Back peddle engaged!
  6. So all your whining and complaining at the other forum about the mods here and the members here, and now you go and make a trailer that looks just like a Rage Craw? Your a BR writer too. Wonder if people knew about all the trash talking you did about this place, how'd they really feel.
  7. I know this is a cliche, and it is a discussion forum, but there is a ton of info on it and its very well liked here. Try searching. I'd post some links but I'm on my phone. I have one along wih several Chronarchs and Curado's and still won't get rid of it.
  8. Netflix + Stargate SG1 = heaven
  9. Simple answer bud. Some are weaker than others. I've dealt with it for over 20 years with family and work. Some of the bravest caring strong people are weak.
  10. Sam, Give the officers a couple of days and they should be able to get what you need. Make sure to ask for a copy of the accident report. At times they may be 5-10 bucks.
  11. Are you high?
  12. When I first started throwing North Star jigs, they came with rattles. The next order I got didn't have them. Until I went to mess with one of the skirts I didn't know they had no rattles. My catch rate never went up or down so I can't say they help or hurt my jigs. I do keep a few in my Terminal tackle box just incase
  13. Was the hook in the bait? I've had them melt using JJ's when the hook was inside on a few occasions.
  14. Until I purchased them, I used the same Mustad hooks your talking about. I got a big lot from a guy here. They worked pretty good as long as they were 1/4 oz. I can't explain it, but the stroker seems to fall more horizontal than the Mustad.
  15. Exactly how is this even worthy of the discussion? To the OP, I have and use both and in the same pound. I really can't tell a difference in distance, but the PP slick sounds better coming through the guides.
  16. Hey Hey Hey. I meant the 7' MH part not the rod...........lol
  17. My first 4 cars combined, didnt cost that much lol Purdy!
  18. I love my Chronarch. My E7 is my favorite reel I have. The 6 is only a tad slower, but it can be used for anything that a 7 can. With that rod, It will be great for jigs, plastics, heavy top water baits, spinner baits etc. Only thing I wouldn't use it for is soft and hard jerkbaits and crank baits. I prefer a moderate action for those. You kinda got the Dodge Ram of the rods. It'll do just about anything!
  19. Mine has the same deal year round. Good stuff only it's not full bags and most are smaller plastics
  20. I gotta wonder if he took out the good drag parts and threw in some junk or worn parts. Pull the reel apart (if your willing and able) and see if the drag washers are placed together correctly
  21. Yep, your hooked! Start a jig fund now, cause its just gonna get more and more expensive when you get that littel bug that tells you to pitch that purdy jig into the nastiest cover you can find
  22. Backwater is right. You can fish a swim jig like any other jig. It may not stand up near as good as a flip n swim or flipping head jig though. North Star has a Flip n Swim jig series that is perfect for what your talking about. I use Berkley Havoc Sub Woofers as my swim trailers but if you take a craw like a Rage Craw and swim it, the claws put off some serious action in the water. I will take my flip n swims and work them just like I will a spinner bait. I will also flip it just like a flipping jig.
  23. It may have a tad more abrasion resistance than regular braid, but its still going to act like braid in reguards to abrasion.
  24. I have thrown caffene shads and zoom fluke jrs weightless on a M/F casting rod with no problems. You almost have to use a swivel with flukes. No matter how good they are rigged, they will spin and cause line twist to some point. I don't have the time or the knowledge to know how to pull out the line twist so I use a swivel. Solved all my twist problems when I did. They are cheap and stronger than my main line. Just give yourself a 2-3 foot leader on the swivel and you should be good. For whats its worth, on my spinning rig, I started noticing twist in 6 pound fluoro after 8-9 casts
  25. For starters, periods are your friend 25 yards, is more than I have ever heard of a leader. Why in gods name would you use such a long leader? Of are you talking about the 25 yards is your main line backed with the Pline? Fluorocarbon on a spinning rod (I assume spinning as your using 8#), is more difficult to maintain and will have more memory that most coly polys and mono lines. Its still managable though if its spooled on correctly. Super cast is closer to a braided line. I run no more than 5-6 foot leader. I can usually retie 4-5 times before I need to use more leader. There is a guy here that catches more fish that I could shake a stick at and he uses a 2-3 foot leader, so I can't for life of me see what 25 foot would be needed. It kinda defeats the purpose of a leader. About 3/4 of my casts in a days fishing never exceed 20 feet.
