thanks k mac i have done all of what hes said and i still havent had success.. i was just posting to see what type of jigs other people have been using and what works for me..im just going to slow down my retrive and slow roll it with a crawdad..

i hit the water by and i can honestly say it was the best fishing ive had here in a while im going to keep fishing in the am until it changes

this morning was awsome!!I just got back i was running a buzz bait up and down the shores i caught a 9 nice bass a few 3 and 4s. then i went into this cove that i new held a big bass, i get there the first cast at 505 she smashed it 5.7 lbs.. after that i worked back down with a jitter bug i was gettig nice 1,2,3s. once the active bite stopped on banks i threw a x-rap rapala out in the middle walking the dog with the lure and i got the biggest hit of my life he spit it out before the tension on my line could pop the hook through. Im going to keep going in the early moring seemed like the best time to go for this 2 acrea pond

I wanna hear what your throwing at the bass this morning. this is my fist am trip of the year. Any suggestoin on whats been working i got a fully loaded tackle ready to go and some coffee brewing.. lets here it.

Does anybody know some good fishing scents to put on soft plastics or baits? Ive been thinking about trying it i just havent gotten around to it.

yeaaa buddy i went to new pond today got a bass the first cast then not a thing 2 hrs later when i was on the other side.. your not alone keep reeling and i would stay a little longer try fan casting an area for awhile that seems to work for me.

you want a long rod that has the backbone to rip them out of the scum, weeds and lily pads. it all depends on how far you wannt cast the longer the rod the further the cast just make sure you have a high speed reel 7.2.1 and some heavy line 30 pound briaded are higher. i go all the way up to 80 in some areas just to be safe.

yeah i mean i can get the fish but there soo small like half pounders!! nothing else ive been tring everything but im going to go out in the am tomorrow before sunrise and see whats up witht the big boys!

what does dead sticking the jig mean? yeah im going to try some different times and see how that works out.. and i have been having problem with my frog lately ill get one of 2 strikes which i either miss some how or they pop off i caught like 10 fish on my frog but thats its after i miss those strikes they dont hit it anymore

no i have not checked the water temp im a newby for bass fishing withh a newby for taking it seriously but im trying to learn i have a free summer too learn some new things. im deffenitly going to get on of those thanks for the link!! Ive tried all of that i guess i should just throw some big swim baits out deep and see what i get i also have a rattle trap that gets me some big bites once in awhile

I need some help for fishing jigs. I have 2 colors, 2 black and blue one with a chatter on the end both football style heads and one kids light brown/red skirt iwth a red bleed hook. i have some crawdads that i put on the end and also some white rabits. IN my ponds and lakes in my area alot have tons of cover and vegition i know i need some heavy to get the jig through. Ive tried going to a log down in the water then poping it and bouncing off of it..a ny suggestions? thanks, chas

Yeah i have white strike king with a red bleeding hook. I have midnight spinder black and red with a colorado blade and light blue spinner.. what other colors do you suggest?>

yeah i was using a 1.5 kvd crank bait sexy shad.. i caught 64 fish the first week and a half i came back then nothing with the same lure.. right now worms are working the best, but im not catching the quality fish i was.. ive been using a torpedo at night along the banks at night and smashing them in the am and late aftenoon nothing. do you now how to find patterns when fishng in a pond like this this one is about 2-3 acres.. thnaks for you tips

thnaks for the help i have black and blue jig with a yum crawdad . A dirty green/ red jig.. I havent had any luck with that i slowed down found a piece of timber, then i just kept working it real hard running over it, stopping on it and riseing then letting it drop but i got nothing.. most of the time i catch quite of few fish but when i find out what they like i just keep hooking up with the mid to smaller ones of the bunch. im not complaing about catching fish tho! haha im just going to really slow down and work the area better

Ive been fishing spinner baits for a few weeks now and i keep reading people saying that spinner baits are pretty weedless. I mixed up my retrives i roll all kind of things but still only have cuaght one fish. any tips?

started frogging my slef this year nothing like wathcing a bass just destroy your frog all you need to do is just slow down and pop like they said youll be slayin them in no time.

what else should should i try fishing in mid to heavy cover. I've dropped a senko down under the lily pads and scum. also some jigs with a trailer and without plus throwing frogs is my go too bait for this. I know theres big bass in the pnd but i just cant locate them any suggestions for trageting bigger fish in cover?? thanks, Chas

IF you find some cover throw a frog over it. You will probably get 1 or 2 strikes but thats it soo make sure you get the hook set or they won't touch it again

So my uncle has this over sized pond there i can fish all three banks the north, west and south banks. I've only been to the east one time with my row boat. The first week or so i went i was cathing bass on a kvd 1.5 and 2.5 crankbait and absolutly smashing them. i went away for vacation came back then it didnt work anymore. ive been trying everything jigs, spiners,popers and rattle traps. I'm not catching the quality of fish i was when i started. easy 3, 4 pounders my buddy got a 9 pounder the fist week we went. Im not sure how to locate the bass i feel like im dong everyhting right but if aybody has any tips that would be great how to find patterens within the a big pond. any tips would be awsome Thanks, Chas

it was most likely a beaver i just got in from my uncles lake theres a huge beaver dam on the east side of the shore and i was fishing off the dock i saw it come from the woodline jump in the water then ever couple of minuntes it sounded like someone was droping a cinder block from the top of a tree !!
