It’s 4 am and the coffee’s brewed Picking up my buddy like I always do There’s the morning summer dew As I load the truck you can feel the Water in the air We get to the lake and nobodies there It’s dark, warm, and noisy all the critters are up The water is calm even though all the fish are swimming around We get to our spot and float down I drink some coffee and pack a chew , the morning is just coming through The sun begins to break the trees We cast our lines into the shadows We don’t speak We’re enjoying view like we always do It never gets old the view It’s not about fishing or the catching It’s about the simple things we were taught The land time forgot It will always be our spot

So I'm writing a paper on fishing for my literature class and i need a few poems mixed throughout my story. any body wanna help? iI want to capture the feeling of being out on the lake before sunrise and the transition into day break. that kind of mist that arises between dark and light and all the activity that is taking place in nature.

Those baits are fine. Just put a bank sinker on or a small pyramid sinker on there. On the longer leader

I think the bottom leader needs a weight not a hook. And isn't that a live bait rig or chunk bait?. Look into a drop shot rig kind of the same thing, where are you fishing?

I don't really put a set time on it. I fish for fun so what ever I wanna try. But now the last 3x I've been out its been swimbaits all day. Which I plan on doing a lot

haha he sounds like a very nice guy. probably why he has saw blades under the dock to take extra precaution nobody invades his privacy lmao!! how strong do you think those saw blades are? if its a good dock that holds nice bass. maybe get a bigger set-up with a steal leader , i mean a HEAVY ROD and a strong reel. and bend those suckers or rip them off! but if the dock is crappy. just throw some bird seed on it , hopefully some geese or birds come through and crap all over it!
