  6. So as a lot of you guys know I'm getting into swim baits this year. Went out this morning around 10.30 tied on a 6 inch rof12 huddleston (Rainbow trout). So i lube it up with some pro-sure (Rainbow trout scent), tie it up was making sure my reel was set right . Then i cast about 30 feet i didn't want to launch my hudd off on the first cast. I was standing further back being very careful. Also having my polarized glasses on , im working in the hudd just looking at the swimming action on the way back to me. The water was very clear about 5 feet in front of me i see this hawg of bass come up and slamm my hudd!!!!! i was kind of in shock i saw her turn her head back and i set that hook! Got her right on the roof of her mouth. I weighed it and hit the scale at 6.525 lbs. Not to shabby for my first fish of the year ,and my first hudd fish on my first cast!. Water temp is still very cold! http://www.bassresou...7-my-swimbaits/ theres the link to the full body shot!
  7. oh yeah lunch break fishing fix. you got it made!
  8. thanks! i was just wondering felt like making something and had this on my mind
  9. Ohk tomorrow is the day i "Hope" . Going to my spots . Gotta get this skunk outta here
  10. Thank you for your service man. Stay safe!!! And we will get you your fix through our pictures!
  11. I say not to bend the hook bc there is really nothing in the way. Are using a trailer?
  12. Haha when,i,get a nrx i will! As for now no my rods do what i want them to!
  13. I wouldn't touch the hook man. Are you keeping good, pressure on the fish? Nice bass btw
  14. Yeah i know i have 7 of them! Just figured if i,could make one out of supplies i have already it was be pretty cool, i like customized gear!
  15. Both of the rigs will do fine! Fish on man
  16. I remove everything from my baits. Except for hooks and trailers
  17. I use my 5'5 but i love the long rods cast distance with ease is,great especially when im bank or yak fish. If i get up close to cover say a blowdown. I pull out a 6'0 ugly stick with a quantum spin reels. Easy casting far very close. Thats really the only time i use it
  18. Yeah id rather be broke from baits then booze or drugs. Thats how i look at it. But if you really want to stop the monkey you gotta get rid of the interweb, smartphone all your gear and get hypnotherapy to forget fishing and everything about it. Really is your only option .
  19. On my other 4 rods are 1 spin with light fluro no backing. A topwater/treble rod mobo , jig n worm rod one with 20 pound fluro 1 with 12 lb. And my swiwbait rod 25lb mono. Which im considering changeing to braid as well. Then my spin with 10lb fluro, thats a light finesse jig/plastic small shallow crank and topwater
  20. I have 1 set up with 50lb power pro on it. I fish fields of pads all the time with a 7'3 xh. Im stepping up this year to a 7'9 xh for frogging the thick, stuff. I,will still use 50lb theres no reason for me to go higher. I have 3 set ups with 30lb braid 1 frog rod/ punch, a spin rod and my all around rod 7,2 mh for fishing by nasty stuff or brush. I tie fluro or mono leader on there. Depending on what im fishing
  21. Those things are sweet man best of luck with it!
