"New to me" Boat update
Nice looking boat. I am glad it didn't run you down!! I am wondering why that shelving is still there? Finishing the boat has got to be a higher priority! ;D

Question about On Board Chargers
I have 3 batteries 2 for the 24 volt trolling motor and 1 to start the outboard. I have an on-board 3 bank charger that charges each battery separately. It gives the status of each battery as it charges. It works well. I just plug it in after each trip and the batteries are always ready to go.

Opinions on my Shakey Jig Head alternative
Airborne, If I was going to use those mushroom head jigs I would thread the worm on the hook over the bait keeper collar and then a basic texas rig. Shakey is a technique where you shake the bait in place. Any jig can shake. I use a ball head with the same type of collar as your mushroom head and catch some nice fish. Marketing is a tool of the bait monkey. tightlines

Reinforcing Swimbaits in Fall!
Nice fish. How do the huddleston soft plastic baits hold up? Would a big pike be the end of one?

For those wondering what type of lures to throw in Fall!
I don't remember many pictures of swimbait/wakebait fish in the sun light. Are they best after dark??

Splits rings orbarrel swivel with lock snap for topwaters?
x2 I use the duo lock in place of round split rings, (not just top water). That way you never have to worry about tying your line into the split

So, my 1 piece rod is now a 2 piece rod...Suggestions???
I broke a BPS rod a couple of years ago that was a year + old. When I contacted them about it they offered to credit me the purchase price towards any new rod. So I up graded for a few dollars. ;D Give them a call you have nothing to lose.

Rat-L-Traps
They will go to the bottom : I use them a lot in the fall. I like to fish outside weed edges where the weeds are here and there. Reel the trap through the sparse weeds and rip it out of any weeds you come in contact with and keep a good grip on your rod as you rip the trap free ;D

Frog Bite
I didn't go back to work after lunch today The sun was shining and I was thinking about trying a drop shot so work took a back seat. I went to Champlain at the Shoreham ramp and the wind was blowing white caps. I went out anyway but gave up on the drop shot. I found a weed bed out of the wind and fished a frog and a brush hog. The water temp was 75. I got 5 fish on the frog and 2 on the brush hog in about 2 1/2 hours. Not a bad afternoon ;D Here is a picture of the largest fish. about 4 1/2 on the boca. The rest were in the 2 lb range. It was a great afternoon even with the wind

Throwing buzzbaits
I would cover it from different angles and with a couple of baits then move on. If you have a blow up and miss and still think there is a good fish there sometimes coming back later will work. An hour or so
