  1. the boats around pace and ike were crazy i've never seeen spectators get so close on any classic coverage i've watched before that was kinda crazy.
  2. for me def. finesse fishing i don't even own a spinning reel or rod, and there have been days fishing with my buddy when the finesse techniques are the only way to catch em.
  3. i'd throw a 3/4 -1 oz weight on 60 pound braid with good heavy jig or flipping rod and a strike king rage craw or rodent on a flipping hook that's a deadly combo for me in think grass.
  4. i own two smoke reels and they are my favorite. They cast a mile and are very light i would recomend them to anyone
  5. flippin and pitchin has it right go with FC line and tungsten weights and a good sensitive rod you will never need to hold your line. IMO if you have the room fish two if not someone is in the back.
  6. Thanks for all the feedback. i found the dobyns champion series rods on sale so i went with a 734c, now just waiting for the ups driver.

  8. i didn't even think about ebay i'll have to check it out. i wasn't leaning towards used but i won't pass up a deal i was mainly wanting some opinions on what are some good football jig rods and i can't seem to find the classifieds
  9. i'd like to stay under $250 but i've been known to go over lol. where can i find used rods on the internet

I'm looking to get a new football jig rod i have a skeet reese football jig rod it says it's rated up to an ounce for lures i mainly throw 1/2 ounce and 3/4 ounce i think you can cover most water with those two weights and that rod just didn't feel great to me for throwing them. Any help would be great.
  11. strike king rage craws and rodents are my go to soft plastics but zoom flukes and lizards are right up there.
  12. i have the mojo bass deep crankbait rod from st. croix paired with a lews reel and i really like that combo and the rod won't set u back that much. i've never tried the suffix fluro but i can vouch for the sunline sniper fluro that stuff is the best i've tried.

  14. i got the 7ft H, i paired it with a quantum smoke i really like them paired up.
  15. i just recieved my avid seris in the mail last week, havent got to fish with it yet but i really like the feel.
  16. in that price range id go for a bass pro shops carbonlite rod. i really like them for soft plastics

  20. the spro mcstick in the 110 and 95 and the husky jerk by rapala.
  21. i just purchased the humminbird 597ci di fish finth der and was just wondering if anyone on here has one or knows someone with the same unit and what you think of it. any info would be much appreciated

    Most of the time im starting with a rage craw but depending on the time of year i may start with a jerkbait
