  3. Does anybody know who won the major league fishing event in denton texas i was out of town and didn't realize it was gonna be on CBS so my dvr didn't record it.
  4. I love the show too I just wish they would bring the casting line back, it made for some funny arguments with the ref.

  8. Same as you bigbill but with me i usually order what i caught em on during the trip even if i have 20 of the same lure lol.
  9. Nice hawg congrats!
  10. Awesome fish! Looks like a 6decent to me or close to it either way great fish
  11. I just looked at your pic i didn't see that before the 100 it shows should be when it's charged and when u set it to charge with the 2ampfull setting it should drop to the bottom and start moving up as its charging
  12. The charger i have shows the 100 on it on the 12v6amp side and then the 2ampi is in the middle this is just a trickle charge. But if your charger shows 50the as the highest then it may be fully charged
  13. No the 2amp charge reads from the bottom up towards middle, middle being charged and 6ampi reads from top to middle, again middle being fully charged,
  14. X2 TO what small jaw said. I live close by to that lake never fished it but know ppl that have and they all have sucess with what smalljaw mentioned the typical early spring baits, you being in the back of the boat casting that lipless bait or a spinnerbait out into open water away from the bank is a good way to connect on those big females that haven't moved up yet hanging on that first break, it's worked for me. Good luck
  15. i've been fishing jerkbaits for a while now, spring thru winter i've had alot of sucess with them thru the summer months even. This time of year during the pre spawn what i've figured out thru trial and error is like the others have pointed out i not letting the jerkbait set long enough. I went out twice last week and caught fish both trips but it wasn't until the second trip i realized i wasn't letting the jerkbait sit long enough. I was letting it sit for about 8-10 seconds and couldn't get bit, but after i started letting it sit 12-15 seconds the fish would about jerk the rod out of my hand. Just make sure your jerkbait suspends good and don't be to impaintent and not let it sit long enough.
  16. x2 i've been fishing shimano reels for a while and never knew that.
  17. 1/2 ounce siebert outdoors arky jig green pumpkin with rage chunk, 3/8 ounce buckeye mini mop jig black/blue with matching chunk.
  18. i'll tell you the problem i had with it last year when i was throwing it i was so scared of losing it i only threw it too places i knew for 100% i wouldn't get hung up. I fish cherokee lake alot in TN and once i started getting a little braver with it the first fish i caught was a striper and after that i gained more confidence in it and started catching a few bass, the only place i really ever fish it though is on offshore humps.
  19. brandon palinuk, jason christie, and randall tharp
  20. i also wondered too ,the lower section of the lake runs into a creek and it stays muddy all year its only about 2-5 ft out of the channel and 9-14 ft in the channel on this end of the lake. In the summer i flip a jig and catch them down there would i have been better off to go to that end of the lake but i would think the water would have been colder down there, but the fish are used to those comditions.
  21. thanks for all the help guys, i did try the colorado blade spinnerbait and after i left i felt like i should have gave it more time, i threw the crankbait mostly because of the wind. Thanks for all the advice
  22. We had warm weather last week in ky but it has been a very cold winter, i went to the lake yesterday the water temp was 44 degrees early in the morning about midday the warmest water i found was 49 degrees close to the dam. The lake itself was very muddy, i've never seen it that muddy except in the backwaters, I would lose visibility of my lure after about 2 inches in the water, so a jerkbait was out of the question i tried a football jig, rattle baits, and crankbaits. The only bite i had was on the football jig but i didn't hook up. I have fished water this muddy in the summer but no experience in cold muddy water. The lake has no grass mostly just muddy bottom with rocky shoreline. Any advice would help Thanks.
  23. x2 best deals ever on dobyns rods and shimano reels
  24. i do this with the football jig too, the tap you feel in my opinon is the fish sucking the jig in it's mouth, when i feel this i reel set the fish and load hard sideways with the rod
  25. I like a 6'6 - 6'8 mh for both applications and a fast action on both.
