Depends on the situation. But usually i start topwater and go down from there. Always have a Zara Spook, spinnerbait, crankbait, jig, and a worm.

I just recently got into twitching weightless flukes on the surface or just below really early in the mornings right before and as the sun pokes over the horizon and man theyre awesome. Fish cant stand that erratic twitching action.

If I have any expectation of a top water bite, I'll throw a buzzbait for 15-20 casts--if no bite, a pop r for 15-20 casts. If I'm not getting bit, out comes the t-rig and the fat ika.

will lipless cranks work on inactive fish?

As fall starts I am throwing a Cordell Spot, lipless crankbait, red crawdad or bleeding shad.

I do the same with a senko,got to try the flukes sometime.Although they love the senko's so much I find it hard to commit to something else.

The action of a proper twitch is just too hard for them to resist.................lol

Jitterbug, unless there is a specific reason that day not too, such as cold water or dense weeds on the surface.

Man I got 2 nice keeper size today doing that method. Learned it from my buddy Flyfishman.

I always start top water. Buzz bait, pop'r, and Rage toads. After that, the process of elimination begins.

I like to get to the lake right around sunrise and the topwater bite is usually pretty good so most of the time I throw a frog. Started fishing crankbaits recently and been having a lot of luck so I might try them the next morning I go out and see how I do.

Start with 7" Slug-O or 7.5"Culprit....If the situation is set for it i will throw a jitterug (my favorite lure), then ill prob throw a jerkbait then put a jig head on with a watermelon lizard usually 7".

I have so little time to fish this semester that I went 100% big bass mode, and 0% fun fishing stuff. So it's been either a jig or a swimbait lately...

I like to wake the fish up with a lipless crank or spinnerbait,then follow up with jig,fluke or wacky senko depending on the type of bottom and depth
