I like to wake the fish up with a lipless crank or spinnerbait,then follow up with jig,fluke or wacky senko depending on the type of bottom and depth

ouch is right,kvd shoulda tied the knot on the second hook, it hasnt happened to me ''YET'' but have been close a couple of times,kinda scary being focused on fishing and your hat gets ripped off your head.

the topic title,pretty much says it all,last year at the end of april, i think was the first time i went out i did great on chrome/black,chrome/blue,chrome/chartreause,gold/black this year i've been out 3 times and only got a couple on chrome/chart, has anybody been trying new colors that have been working this year.tia

trying to put a list together for myself,sometimes when im on the water and not catching them,i look thru my tacklebag and get overwhelmed,so im gonna make a list of lures on a piece of paper, for example if its sunny and windy,spinnerbait,buzzbait.ratteltrap,crankbait, in appropiate colors, sunny or cloudy and calm, swim jig, flip and pitch soft plastics, frogs when possible cloudy and rainy and so on and so forth does anybody else do this,usually the night before i watch the weather and set up my rods that way. my question,what do you use when its gonna be....sunny and calm, or sunny and windy etc

hello,when and where does everyone tie on a firetiger crankbait, i have a few bandits 200 and bomber fat a's that i want to try,do they work better in bluebird skies,overcast,sunny,rainy,muddy water clear water,would really like to hear everyones opinion, tia

thanks for all the replies,now,dont get me wrong i am very grateful to be fishing and love just being able to enjoy being on the water,its not a tourney or anything like that,but at times its very frustrating,i tried teaching him how to flip and pitch with a jig and soft plastics[brush hog,rage tail, senkos,etc.] and slow down, he did pretty good.all he wants to use is buzzbait,frogs,lipless crank,and spinnerbait, i'm sure some people are thinking, ''just dont go with him anymore,'' but i'm just trying to get an edge and think outside the box on how to better myself and be a better fisherman

I do alright fishing from the back of the boat,i mostly use reaction baits,rattle trap,chatterbait,spinnerbait.i used to be pretty good at jigs,texas rigged soft plastics,senkos,but since the driver of the boat goes 90mph and gets the good spots,laydowns,beds,i cant focus on the finnesse lures,i had a boat but had to sell it due to medical reasons. Does anybody have any tricks or opinions on how i can do better. tia

just got a new to me shimano calais 100a today in the mail, for those of you who own one what is your favorite lure you use on it, its a 5;8-1 ratio and i dont know if fishing a spinnerbait,chatterbait,lipless crank would be to slow, tia

been crushing the bass on 1/2 oz red craw rattletrap, does anyone use the bigger ones and are still succesful, i've been fishing in depts of 3-15 fow. tia edit; ok let me rephrase the question, anybody use the bigger sized 3/4 -1oz rattletraps with success, i know if it aint broke dont fix it but there are 8,9, and 10 pounders in there and i want to catch them.

hello, two weeks ago i met up with an old friend from high school who likes to fish, we went fishing 3 times, but from the time we launch the boat until were ready to leave the trolling motor is on. i like to fish jigs, t-rigged soft plastics, spinnerbait, chatterbait, lipless and squarebilled crankbaits, he uses spinnerbaits and buzzbaits he got 1 bass in 3 trips, i asked him to find a spot and slow down but he didnt want to hear it, i caught 3 pickeral and 2 small bass on a spinnerbait, what is a good lure to use in this case tia.

i agree they really work well and i have not had any fish throw the hook yet, but how are you fishing them

hello, i have a curado, core and quantum 1160 pt and a kvd tour baitcasting reels, my question is how do you get the cover off to oil and grease the bearings. tia

i went fishing in the freezing cold sunday and caught one crappie on a series3 crank, my buddy marked 7-8 huge schools of big fish we threw everything at them and nothing, could someone post some pictures of what types of jigs and trailers one might use to catch these tasty little morsals. also any other lures you have caught crappie on. i have no intention in taking over this thread so i apoligize if i did.......tia

hello everyone, in the spring and summer i do really well fishing a brown/orange football jig, but in the fall i have ''NEVER'' caught anything on that color or any other color on a jig, i know the crawfish in the summer have some orange on them, do they change color in the fall and if they do what color do they become, and what color jig and trailer should i be using .....tia

hello, gonna try fishing rattletraps, lipless crankbait, i have a shimanu curado 5.4;1 and a 6'6'' johnny morris signature rod. medium/fast is reel i want to get the quantum pt tour kvd 5.4;1 ratio,whats a good crankin rod to match these up tia
