fisher of bass

hello, i got a couple of bitsy jigs, they are smaller than i am used to, i only used the evo jigs before. my question is would a uncle josh pork frog be too big. tia

was using stealth last year, decided to go with the invisabraid this year, production way down, went back to stealth on one reel started catching them again, coincidence, i think not, i do like the invisibraid for casting, what knot do you use for tying flurocarbon to braid?? tia

my buddy and i went out @ 4 a.m this morning, he caught 5, mostly smallies nothing big, i caught 3 largemouth nothing big, but noticed 11 dead fish, mostly perch. the lake is pretty big [milton 3 ponds]. but i was wondering if bass always spawn in the same place every year? for the past 5 years i fish this cove and there were beds every where, this year hardly anything, and i have been fishing since iceout, every week.

last year i was killing them on lizards, yum crawdads, powerworms, beast, jigs. this year i cant buy a bite on them, the wooly hawgtail, ragetail shad, powerpulse worm,buzzbait,and spinnerbait are getting it done, wierd. also, i really havent seen too many beds are they done spawning???

i love the ragetail shad, i used the gold bling a couple of weeks ago and did very well, what worked for me was burning it over the pads then when i was in a pocket i killed it, let it sink then WHAM hold on to your rod. 8-)

hello everyone went out last thurs. no beds but 3 bass and 3 pickeral, 1 of the bass was 3.7# caught on a ragetail shad gold bling,6' of water, funny thing was i caught the three pick and this 3.7# after i burned the shad i killed it and let it sink then slam. caught the other two bass on a senko wacky

i am fortunate enuff to have a boat with a livewell but the wardens there 95% of the time checking livewells, which is good i guess, i lived in mass, lynn/saugus line when i was young, there was a beautiful pond there that was completely fished out in 2 years, you couldnt even buy a bluegill there and they had quality and quantity 3-4lb bass

last may i caught and lost the biggest bass i have ever seen, i am not saying it was a record by any means, but in may, you cannot keep the fish because of spawning [i always c/r]. the state record is 10.8, but what if you break the record what do you do. :-/

great topic, dont want to step on anybodies toes and start a new thread but can we post pictures on many different situations, deep water, docks, shallow, lilypads,grass,windy, rainy,overcast,sunny, just a suggestion i think it would be very entertaining kind of like a test, like you go to a new lake or pond and you see something like lillypads and bang, you know exactly what to do. btw i would use a topwater first then a spinnerbait chartreuse
