i have never caught a bass on a tube, i am using a 6'6'' medium/fast, johnny morris spinning rod with a shimano stradic 2500mgfb,6lb fluoro. i have been using powerbait 4'' tubes, coffe tubes, gitzits, the colors are, green pumpkin, white, smoke redflake, etc... i use tube jigs 1/8-1/2 oz, i also have the tube inserts 1/4 oz with a gammy ewg hook, t-rigged soaked in megastrike. how am i supposed to fish these successfully, thanks everyone

didnt tru-turn have a 25,000 dollar reward if you caught a state or world record bass on them, havent used them for years but still have some kicking around some where

what i have been doing with jigs that seem to work is , if i feel any extra weight i lift the rod afoot or so then i snap it and let it sink and snap it again just a couple of quick snaps and most of the weeds slowly sink away, it works pretty good for me

went out earlier today caught 4, but one of the bass i caught 2.5# had 3 hooks deep inside his mouth plus mine, i keep a pair of diaganal pliars and needlenose took all 4 hooks out and released her, she swam away then when she was ahout 10 feet away she jumped out of the water as if to say thank you, it was pretty cool

so whats the best way to fish it?

hello, i had an aluminum flat bottom boat before and i could get real shallow, i recently got a ranger with a 150 on it, on 1 of the lakes i fish theres this cove that has spots of 2-3 feet of water, can the boat get in there without getting stuck? i will probably have to tilt the motor up, i just dont want to get stuck. tia

bought a 97 ranger r80 yesterday and it it BEAUTIFUL, my question is how often do you wax it, and what type of wax do you use tia.

would put the braid on the baitcaster and use it for frog fishing ,and around lilypads and such also on one of the spinning reels i would put 6# fluoro for finnesse fishing like shakey heads or dropshotting even trigged lite plastics jmo
