St.Croix Triumph or Fenwick HMX
Both are great all around rods, just wait till you go from your SC2 blank triumph, to a sc3 blank or better on a St Croix rod... You'll be in awe...

As a co angler
Wow Great! I like that even for my limited space in my kayak!

Who was the most help teaching you how to fish for bass?
Glenn has been a huge driving force for me to learn fishing. But what has taught me more than anything, is going out there being as stubborn as I can trying to learn and make a certain technique work. And seeing other people succeed made me work my butt off to be able to be the angler they are.
- Spinning reel suggestions?

Best Main-Line Fluorocarbon for baitcaster?
YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR IN FLURO. Lol drill that into your head forever and save the headache. Don't go buy segaur red label and try it as a main line. Pay 5$ more and get invisix... As far as other brands, the higher end stuff is much better theres no doubt about it. BUT, no matter what you go with, get line conditioner. This is the key with any fluro to go from okay to excellent. Don't cheap out.

Shimano Sahara feels stiff
i'd take it back... I fish with all saharas from 1000-3000 size and they are all suppose to be buttery smooth out of the box.

Bigger Poppers = Bigger Bass?
I do believe generally bigger fish tend to target bigger lures, but with many exceptions... my bluegill poppers I use on my fly rod get nailed by huge bass all the time and I set the hook and fight them for awhile, but a 3wt rod doesn't always move pigs well...

Siebert jigs
Well, I know everyone else has said it, and I will reinforce it. If I could have one jig, a siebert arky head in 3/8oz in black and blue. Trim the skirt a little, leave the weed guard. Put a trailer on to match. And thats a winning combo. I have caught fish all over wisconsin in all different colored waters and situations with this jig. Its money, and the hook is one i'd bet a tournament on. He ONLY makes quality.

St. Croix Avid vs St. Croix Mojo
I actually don't like the spinning M powered rods by st Croix. I think they feel a little heavy. I love my ML rage rod and spinning avids. With the XF actually they handle some pretty hefty lures. Just a personal preference! Enjoy your avid tho, you wont be disappointed. Mine are all matched with the new Daiwa Revros 2500s...

HOW TO FIND THE RIGHT SIZE JIG
Go to Walmart, get a Strike King Bitsy Bug Jig in black and blue for 1.99$ then go get a pack of BABY rage craws in black and blue. Get a MH Spinningrod and throw the hell out of it at structure. This will be a huge numbers bite lure. You'll have a blast, then slowly try adding weight to see what situations you get bit on with heavier lures.

Sympathy Please
Be careful the squirrels and rodents don't get into it, you might have some mutant glowing mouthed animals running around. It'd look pretty cool! lol!

St. Croix Avid vs St. Croix Mojo
Put it this way, I live a hour from St Croix... I bought my first triumph st Croix and thought it was a nice rod, then I bought a 6'9mlxf avid spinning. And it felt like a whole new world in sensitivity and crisp and how perfect that rod was. Now I own 3 of the exact same rod. Buy a avid with a lifetime warranty and enjoy it.

The Weed Vaccuum..AKA Whopper Plopper
Agreed on a small pick, always have to carry one anyways for those crazy back lashes. The little whopper plopper is a fun bait to fish!

Why are bladed Jigs like a Chatterbait so popular compared to Inline Spinnerbaits?
Well, as much as I love chatterbaits in the stained river waters up here. A Mepps #5 in HFT-Y (Hot FireTiger with Yellow Skirt) has won me a few local pub tournaments hands down. I've caught crappie, bass in crazy numbers, and even muskies on this one bait. I think people perceive inline spinners as a joke compared to hairpin style. When's the last time anyone you saw on tv bass fishing was using a inine spinner? When reality, I love inline spinners bulging them under the surface over weedbeds. Smalies hammer them. I think its just another part of this fishing market scheme. Companies just want you to buy their stuff and if it means showing a pic of KVD holding a rage blade, you're darn right people will buy it! Seriously though, inline spinners catch fish.

Weakest Fighting Fish?
Well, it all depends on the rod you fight them on?? Catching a 10" big bluegill on a 2wt fly rod, is a huge fight. But so it catching a 30lb muskie on a broom stick. Both fish fight like hell.
