  1. Any boaters out there thats looking for a guaranteed coangler this weekend?
  2. Anyone know the main difference of the 2 blanks regarding real life application when using these rods. From the shimano website it says tc4 is graphite and glass, tc4k is graphite and a carbon fiber. I understand this part but when fishing the two different whats the main difference? Thoughts anyone?
  3. Thanks RW found exactly what I was looking for on Overstock.
  4. I agree tackleware house is good, for the most part you can buy every rod and reel on cabelas or bass pro cheaper on ebay online stores with free shipping to boot for the most part. The saltwater selection is kind of lackin on both sites and are somewhat overpriced so was hoping someone had a site they know about.
  5. Other than BassPro and Cabelas do you guys use one that you would recommend? I'm looking for a site that has freshwater as well as saltwater gear. I use ebay from time to time but was looking for a online store with a good selection. Thanks !
  6. I've had tons of luck on Huntsman, I work 5mins down the street and have fished it a lot from the shore. I've caught almost all my fish on a manns -1 crankbait in a craw pattern. I've usually caught all my fish where the drain is near the street. Good luck
  7. I usually walk down to the right of the waterfall if you are facing the main river. If you walk down a bit you'll see some rock protruding from the main river. I fished this part of the main river 90% when I did fish Scotts Run. I have not fished Scotts Run in a few years since and not sure what erosion and water levels are like. Few years back where I described there was a gravel sand bar where you could wade where the water would only come about to your knees and make cast near the boulders on the deeper part of the river. Would always catch a few nice ones everytime I went to Scotts Run for 10+ years. Not sure what its like these days but I would assume the area is still very productive. Out of old times sakes a friend of mine who fished with me there regularly we've decided to check it out this weekend. I'll update you guys after this weekend if I can make it out there.
  8. I grew up near the Great Falls area and Dominion Dan is right on. Fishing from the shore Riverbend is a nice place to fish since its really easily accessible and on most days you can catch a few fish. Always had good luck throwing a plastic tube texas rigged. Scotts Run has really good fishing if your willing to take a hike, used to go fishing there all the time when I skipped school with friends I fished mainly near the waterfall in Scotts Run even tho its a good walk. Also can catch lots of catfish there. I always had best luck throwing a carolina rig lizard/brush hog Hope this helps.
  9. I've been using shimano reels recently bought a Abu garcia revo, i'm really liking it how it feels and performs gonna grab me another one next week.
  10. Fisher of Men I think your right I believe it was TNN, I miss that type of format oh wells
  11. That setup is fine.. but when you meant stradic you meant spinning reel right? I threwthat same setup on the potomac throwing the mann and it worked fine, but I was throwing 8 lb flouro. goodluck!
  12. I only go to Dick's to pick up bags of plastics all other buys I head to Basspro shops. Even tho its a good 35-40min drive its really worth it, and can usually find some good deals. Most of the people i've encountered at basspro are knowledgable, and have some good information on local rivers and lakes and can get some real nice tips.
  13. Complete garbage, still watched it cause its the classic but honestly it seems like the whole time you're watching a long infomercial, with 15sec clips of fishing. I miss the days when they literally showed 5-10 mins of non stop fishing of various anglers in contention. I clearly remember classics when Rick Clunn and David Fritts won they would go into detail of the patterns, gear and all the other stuff that most people watch fishing programs for, sigh I guess those days are long gone
  14. I agree hold on to those CBs, i've found a few of those older crankbaits at garage sales and still use a few of them. Something about those older baits that really catch fish, nice stuff!
  15. Carolina rigged centipede
