New to jig fishing but what style jig would you recommend for North Carolina water's? Mainly fish pond's with some cover and structure but rarely get to get out on a Lake. Any advice would be helpful when I go to place an order. Thank you!

Was strolling the site and seen where Siebert Outdoor's had a deal going with six jig's designed by moderator's for a pretty good price. Was just wondering if that's still going on? From the info I've seen on here I'd certainly like to have a stock of them!

Yeah I honestly dont need a $200 rod, The Carbonlite's are just fine with me. Great rod, Great price. I'm probably gonna go 7'6 M/H or H Carbonlite with a Revo S or Revo SX for my flipping pitching. Then the crankin stick in 7' M/H with a PQ reel. Then I'm shooting for an *** Rod. Thank's for all the info and feedback guy's!

Yeah I've been scanning the BPS site for combo's. I am looking at the Revo SX/Carbonlite combo they have for flipping and pitching. Maybe a 7'6 MH since I wont be fishing anything here in NC like they would have to down in say FL. I was looking at the Crankin Stick with a Pro Q reel for my crankbait app. Thank's for the info guy's!

Yeah I have a micro guide BPS Carbonlite and I love it, One of my favorite rod's. I also have the Carbonlite reel but I love it as well no issues. But it's also one of the original's so maybe that has something to do with it. I was thinking about the Revo SX for my flipping and pitching rod since it's got alot of drag power and can horse em out. I have a Revo S on a Veritas Heavy action rod with braid on it right now. Just wanting to get another set up or two. Preciate the feedback!

Looking to get a new setup for crankbait's, jig's and flipping and pitching. Not all on the same rod of course but rod's for those seperate situations. What do you guy's think about the BSP Carbonlite rod's? I have one now and I love it and use it for Tex Rig's. What length and action would you use for the new rod's? Also what reel's and ratios? Was looking at Revo S, Revo SX, and the PQ.

I have a Bass Pro Shop's Carbonlite rod 7' MH with the Carbonlite reel. I love the rod. I got the micro guide version and it's probably one of my favorite of all my rod's. It's got good feel and backbone and it looks amazing. I like it just as much as my Abu Garcia Veritas which is also a great rod.

Yeah I ordered some Trokar flipping hook's but I'm gonna try these Gammy's first. I've always used Gammy and feel comfortable with em. We will see how the flipping hook goes'. My only problem seems to be the hook keeper tearing the bait. But I'm slowly learning.

Preciate all the info guys! I have some Gammy 4/0 and 5/0 flipping hooks. I just got into flipping and just rigged my Veritas 7' Heavy action rod with 50lb braid and a Paychex punch stop. I just have alot of trouble with the 4/0 and 5/0's tearing the bait and the bait not being even from eye to hook point.

When flipping and pitching what hooks do you guy's use? I'm flipping a Culprit incredi craw and gambler ugly otter's..

Yeah I'm gonna read the manual and play with the reel and find the sweet spot. Just didnt wanna mess up a brand new reel with it not being meant for braid.

When I pitch the bait the slack line kinda roll's up in wave's. Maybe it's just a braid characteristic. I'm just now learning and buying flipping and punching gear. I got 50lb braid on a new Revo S and a Heavy action 7' Veritas rod. Is that a decent setup?

Thank you! I was lost when I was trying to get it on there. This is my first experience with braid and it isnt going smoothly. The line kinks badly after pitching the bait. Not sure if it's just me but it also continues to get uneven on my new revo s.

I got a new Heavy action flipping rod and I'm trying to put the new Paychex punch stops on my line for flipping. But I cant for the life of me figure out how. Can anyone help out?
