Duckett Micro Magic
I was looking at buying a couple Duckett Rod's about a year ago and I just heard all these story's of break's and quality control problems. I went with BPS Carbonlite rod's to fill out my lineup and honestly I love em. Haven't had one issue out of them even the micro guide versions I have. Also if it break's BPS customer service is very good in the experiences I've had with them. Best rod's out there of course not but for the price point I feel it's darn good. I too was pushed away from Duckett due to peoples complaints.

Biggest So Far This Year
I'd take a weekend filled with those three fish anyday!

Bps Crankin Stick
They also don't have the 7' M just the 7'ML.
-
Bps Crankin Stick
I sure hope they don't discontinue the line up! I'm probably gonna go with the 7'6 MH and keep my eyes open for a 7'MH.

Texas Angler Snares 14.66-Pound Monster At Toledo Bend
Awesome fish but too bad it died. A fish that size was probably up there in year's anyway though. Her genes are already swimming around for the next monster! An awesome catch either way!

Bps Crankin Stick
Was gonna get one of these rod's for shallow to medium depth cranks but they only offer it in 7'6 MH not the 7' MH which sucks. Do you guy's feel that length rod would fair well in the more shallow water application? Not really familiar with cranks that much so not sure if this rod length would affect how deep the crank run's or anything like that.

Combo Question?
I appreciate the information. I have multiple BPS Carbonlite/PQ setups that I love and was going to get another one but I have always purchased it separate and reading that kinda made me wonder about purchasing it together.

Combo Question?
Just read that if you purchase a PQ/Carbonlite combo you will not be getting the same grade or quality reel if you were to purchase it separate. They basically were saying that the reel is made of cheaper components thus allowing them to sell it for much cheaper in the combo than sold separate. Do you guy's feel this is true? I love my PQ and Carbonlite rod but I purchased them separate.

Favorite Texas Rig Bait
Mine would have to be either a Culprit 10in. worm, Gambler 13in worm during the hot day's of summer when fishing deeper for big bass, and a Rage Craw.

Favorite Texas Rig Bait
Wanted to get some idea's on what your favorite Texas Rigged bait is. I know it depends on conditions but what is the Texas rig bait you have the most confidence in and turn to the most.

Carbonlite For Topwater?

Building The World Record Bass
I honestly think it should count as a world record. These fish that are being caught out in California were fed trout for years during the winter month's. Were they hand fed? No, but they still were put in as a form of high protein food to make these fish larger. Same thing the Texas parks and wildlife does to make the state fishing better and more productive when it comes to larger fish. They are breeding these fish to make the highest chance of these gene's of sharelunkers making a world record. So if a bass is caught in Lake Falcon or or Amistad is shouldn't be considered a world record for the simple fact of it may be a sharelunker program offspring? In a way these fish were "raised" or bred.

Close Encounter With Lightning
Very scarey stuff. I wouldn't leave at the sound of thunder but I would be put on notice and pay attention to the storm and weather around me.

Swimbait's In Nc
Appreciate the info and advice guy's. I'll be getting a 3:16 rising son for sure and will look into the Got em Coach baits as well.

Swimbait's In Nc
Sorry I do need to be more specific. I'm gonna mainly be throwing hudd's. 68'S and 6in ROF 5. I bought a Low Down Customs rod to throw them on. So I have a dedicated setup just for swimbaits. Also looking to throw some Line thru's and maybe lunker punkers.

Swimbait's In Nc
Was just asking looking to get any input or tip's on rigging, conditions to throw them in, setups to throw them on or anything that may be helpful. It's always easier to get other's input, advice and help than to start off a new technique blind.

Swimbait's In Nc
Anyone on here throwing large swimbait's in NC? Hudd's or larger bait's? Got a couple I'm thinking about rigging up and throwing and getting into the swimbait game.

Rage Tail
Big O you have something to be proud of with this line of bait's. I'm sure its responsible for a ton of BR members PB. I have all the bait's except the new Rage Bug. That will be on my next big order from TW. I have the shellcracker just haven't found what situation I'd be able to throw it in. Do you just throw it as you would a craw or around structure? Might rig one up and fish it this weekend and see what it's about.
-
Rage Tail
Yeah I got em all I'm gonna start experimenting more with different baits and ways to rig em. Also use the menace and craw as a jig trailer

Feeling A Bite When Dragging The Bottom?
I had the same issue when I first stated fishing Jig's, Carolina Rig's, and Texas rigs. Like everyone here has already stated experience will teach you the difference in bottom contour and will help you determine bottom composition.
