  1. Yeah I seen you had posted that on another thread. I will try that for sure. I have some Rage Toads I was gonna use for topwater but haven't gotten around to it. Do you use any other Rage bait's besides the craw? I just got the Cut-r gonna try it out Texas rigged and rig it on a weighted swimbait hook.
  2. These bait's are the best soft plastics I've ever used. I alway's have some form of a Rage Tail bait tied on no matter where I fish. Caught my PB on a Rage Craw and been hooked ever since. So many different way's to fish these baits and so many different style's of bait's for many different applications. I love em!
  3. If you had to choose between ***, Duckett Ghost, or BPS Carbonlite which would you choose? Any further reasoning would also help.
  4. I honestly could go for either money wise but I want something to learn in and be comfortable in to start off with. I hear an aluminum boat is more forgiving when it comes to hitting things in shallow water and not causing damage. I'm leaning towards a used aluminum tracker to start off with and get my feet wet and get comfortable on the water. From what I've read they are perfect for what I need in my area. No real big water around here and I'm going to be fishing shallow 90% of the time so the ride shouldn't be too rough which is the main complaint I hear about the aluminum boats. Just wanting to get further in put from you guy's on here to make a more educated decision based on people's preference and experiences.
  5. When it comes to buying a new boat, If you had the choice of purchasing a cheaper aluminum tracker or lowe and upgrading the electronics and learning with it being your first boat or holding off and saving up to get a larger fiberglass boat which would you take? Time on the water and learning and eventually upgrading to a better boat or starting off in a higher end boat? Looking to get a boat but not wanting to sink neck deep in a loan.
  6. I'm from just outside of Greensboro, Brown Summit heading towards Reidsville. I work right near the Bryan Park Complex at Lake Townsend
  7. The amount of time and quality put into the bait is 2nd to none. The Japanese bait makers are not only concerned with performance but also the art work and skill it takes to make those style baits. Would I personally purchase one? No a Hudd is fine with me. But those boy's out in California chasing a WR will do whatever it takes to achieve that.
  8. I'm from Brown's Summit just north of Greensboro. I actually work right across from the Bryan Park Complex where Lake Townsend is. Unfortunately the lake's around here do not have much bank access as they are drinking water lakes. Your best bet is to rent a jon boat. Pond hopping is probably your best bet when it comes to bank fishing in the area.
  9. I live less than 30 mins from Lake Randleman. It was on fire the first few years after it opened. Getting a boat next month so gonna make a list of lake's to study and get info on to fish this fall
  10. What do you think the best bass lake is to fish in North Carolina? Looking to get a list of them to hit this fall
  11. I like the Rage Craw as well but there are some good bait's that people never talk about on this forum. I use the D&M flipping craw in the 3.5in. verison. I also like Bruiser bait's avenger in the 3.5in version. These bait's aren't as well known as the Rage Craw but they do produce and in some cases better than the Rage craw. I use these bait's when a bigger profile is called for and I use Rage craw's when a smaller more slimmed down profile is needed.
  12. I hear the lake is on fire this year. Huge bag's and some monster fish coming out of there. I missed the FLW show and was hoping it would be on the website but they havent uploaded it yet. Looking forward to watching it!
  13. Yeah instead of the 160 I'm now looking at a higher model in the tracker. I was looking at the 175 and honestly it looks like the perfect boat for me. I will be fishing one other person max and I want a smaller more compact boat. It looks like a good starter boat that would still be a great boat 5 years down the road. In your opinion how's the build quality on the newer boats? Im also liking them cause I can put money down make payments and build my credit up.
  14. What kind of boat would you be looking for? Like size, engine, brand.
  15. I guess you guy's are right. I need to slow down on the wanting to buy right now and look for something that wont cause me headaches and problems down the road. I will save and just get a big enough boat that I wont have to worry about size rather than buying new and in a year wanting to upgrade and not happy with my purchase. Also saving and slowing down will help me be able to stock the boat with all the tool's and essentials to get on the water. Thank's guy's!
  16. I honestly like the look and layout of the Lowe I just dont know anyone that has them I can speak to about use and problems they've encountered. Like I said the 2000 Lowe 160 I've come across is in exceptional condition. They want $5500 and honestly it look's like a sweet deal for trailer and all. I have heard some good thing's about Lowe from online forums and hear that the quality of build is alot better than the new Tracker's.
  17. I'd be interested, I'm from Brown's Summit but could get to Randleman or any other major lakes within 45mins.
  18. Have been looking on line but cant find any local club's to get into and fish with once I get my boat. If anyone has any info they could pass along on my local club's it would be greatly appreciated!
  19. Thank's for the input man. Size isnt really a big issue. I wont be fishing any huge tournament's just local and weekend fishing. I mean I'm serious about bass fishing but I will normally be by myself or with only one other person. Just wanting to get my first bass boat and want honest input and opinions. Used, New whatever it is I just want to enjoy it.
  20. Unfortunately around here there arent many xpress boat's or dealer's. I did find a very nice condition 2000 Lowe 160 for $5500. Any one have any experience with Lowe's? It's probably the cleanest boat I've seen used since I've been searching. 50HP Evinrude 4-stroke with all the electronics and trolling motor.
  21. I was looking to buy my first Bass boat. I came across an older '93 Nitro but was kind of scared off by the reviews and input given by forum member's. I was wanting some input on a Bass Tracker Pro 160. I can get the unit new and make monthly payment's through the local BPS store. It's just standard nothing to fancy but would this be a decent first bass boat? I just want something I can learn on and use and enjoy time on the water with, but in the future if I want to get rid of it for an upgrade I wont have to much trouble. Any input would be greatly appreciate guy's!
  22. What do you think the $1,000-$1,500 would go into? If I bought it I'd replace the trolling motor, the carpet's right away. Before purchase I'd have a mechanic check compression and the lower end. For a first bass boat would this be an alright buy? I dont need a top dollar boat just something to learn on and start off that can get me on the water that I can work on it be a decent first boat. I appreciate all the feedback and honest opinions guy's.
  23. I mean it runs and looks good. I was gonna get a compression check done by a mech. How else could I check or test the engine
  24. Finally found out how to get pic's up. Here they are!
