I ordered 2. One is going on a crucial crank bait rod and the other on a crucial worm rod.

Douglas isn't far at all. If you're coming from exit 407 off the interstate you will be very close to it. And there are a few places that u can rent boats or jet skis though I'm not sure of the prices. I've never fished in the park so I didn't know about their no treble hook rule. Bring your 6xds if u fish Douglas though, but if u don't our bps is off exit 407 lol.

Backlashing with these reels seems to be the biggest complaint, though reading about this new model that doesn't seem to be the case.

That new KVD reels does look pretty sweet I will admit.

The past models were said to be abysmal. I've never used one though. May be all bc rookies who don't know what they are doing?

Skeet Reese(d-bag)claimed he invented the Sick Fish, when it's really the trash fish by Little Creeper. Yes Berkley bought the design from them, but for Skeet(d-bag)to do his promo and claim he designed it is ridiculous. I had a good back and forth with him on Facebook last year about too lol. He stayed classy though.

A lot of BPS hate on here. Never mind that their customer service and selection is second to none. Yeah they charge a little more, but they PRICE MATCH DSG and Academy so if you're smart, there's no reason NOT to shop there.

Usually these KVD reels are junk. They looks sweet no doubt, but read some of the reviews on BPS. Horrendous.

Yo Zuri 10# would work great on that reel. It's thin, and it's actually rated much higher than 10# IIRC.

And the Chronarch Es are awesome.

Palomar to the split rings, though I do change all of my round split rings to oval first. I HATE snaps/duo locks on crank baits.

Grab some red eye shad an yo yo that thing. It will catch fish.

I've used rods with those specs for lipless cranks and it worked pretty well.

Black back chartreuse allll day. If the bite slows on that then I go to chili craw or citrus shad. If it's muddy you want reds or blacks .

Buy some Red Eye Shad and you'll catch some. Use the yo-yo technique.

They V1 and 2s are good rods. I had a V1 I really liked for crank bait fishing.
