I am pretty sure it is the lower... we are launching near the harbour and can lock through to the charles.. I know we are allowed into the mystic lake as well...As for the lead ban will I have to remove all lead from my box or can I have it with as long as I am not using it?

I asked this question last year without much reply.. to those who did thx and here's hoping a few others see it this time around.... I am fishing the B.A.S.S divisional on the 12th 13th and 14th of september and have never fished here or anywhere in the state... Looking for info on types of cover/structure I will encounter or should concentrate on and also what kind of forage and baits to concentrate on... if someone is willing to share spots that is appreciated but not expected we are launching out of Medford somewhere near the locks.

Do you split the tails or leave them attached???

are you sure Big Al??? another article I read specified jigs either bare or with attached skirts... maybe if they have a weed gaurd it is different?

I bought a few packs of rage craws last winter and never used them all summer... Finally tried them in the fall and caught a fish with them I had 3 different colours but the one that worked the best for me had a brownish/green pumpkin back with an orangish belly... I can't for the life of me remember the name of the colour and I can't find any more... does anybody know the name and where I can get some online????

Thanks guys... is the lead ban going to be just sinkers and jigs or lures too??? I have read in places where lures like spinnerbaits buzzbaits and skirted jigs won't fall under the ban??? I am guessing that being a mucky bottm it is mainly a largemouth fishery and lots of weeds???

I don't know all of the details yet but those are the fishable waters... there is a speed limit if that helps narrow down the location? I just don't want to drag down all of my gear... also will the lead ban affect these waters???

I am planning on fishing the Mystic/Charles river in September. Can anyone give me and tips on main forage, type of structure and size fish I can expect???? I have no idea where I am going to launch from but just want a heads up... I have never fished any tidal water before or even state side for that matter and just looking for a headstart. After hearing so much about roboworms for dropshotting I finally order some in aarons magic green weenie purple weenie and ehlers edge... The only one that looks even close to the pictures on their website is the ehlers edge??? Did i get bad batches or are they always laminated colours???? The website has aarons magic as a translucent green with a purple and vein and brown swirl in it but the ones I got were a purple line sandwiched between a watermelon and brown layer

Should have specified lol... I don't plan on flipping or pitching jigs for smallies but rather fan casting flats and shoals in place of tubes.

Does anybody use flipping jigs for smallies??? I placed a large order for jigs ( well for me... don't use them a whole lot) and the majority of my fishing this year will be smallies... just wondering what weight, colours and trailers would work in place of a tube or other craw imitator

When you are talking clear water what is your visibility? Everybody has a different perspective of what clear is. I fish a lkae for smallmouth and visibilty is about 26 feet. The key to this lake for both large and smallmouth are super long casts and 3 inch melon pepper tubes. If a fish is spotted and is on a piece of structure or cover remember where it is and leave it alone. Return inb 20 inutes or so and stay away making long casts to the structure. Works everytime for me.
