  1. Coffee while fishing? I wouldn't be able to hold it! lol Also I stopped eating Vienna sausages after I read the article on the cancer causing stuff in it and other "sausage" products. Eating one sausage a day increases your chances by 20%. I'm sure it's not just one sausage but I does increase the chances.
  2. I can't last long without food lol I don't know how you just drink water
  3. Dang I didn't think it was that big
  4. This is one of the funniest things I've heard on this forum!
  5. I've thought of eating a big breakfast before leaving but I'm afraid I will get a stomach ache on the water.
  6. There's no picture attached
  7. I usually bring a sandwich while I'm on long fishing trips. I'm looking for some new ideas to explore, a sandwich is getting too repetitive and boring. What do you guys eat while fishing?
  8. Not sure but if you do go to Markham your best bet is to go to the canal that goes northeast up until it starts to go straight north. At that bend fish and troll. Lot's of snook there.
  9. You should check out the local fishing forums: http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/forum/7-fishing-locations/ and post there.
  10. TY park isn't good for beginners. I believe it used to be a rock quarry. So it's very deep. May be hard for someone starting out. Markham is good. There's largemouth, snook, panfish, and a few other kinds of nice fish. Vista View is a good spot. It's got largemouth and peacock. In front of vista view there is a small little lake across the road and also east on griffin you could try. You could also fish the griffin canal. There's tarpon, snook, peacock, largemouth. It's great to fish there. Just bring live shiners it's the best for there. On griffin rd and 441 there's a little spot next to a water thingy (can't remember the word)it's a white building.
  11. Senkos, slow rolling them with a tiny weight. Or a small rat-l-trap.
  12. I'm still a student so gifts and saving money and chores!
  13. Look at Captain Shane's newest video on Lake Okeechobee. It's crazy! He is a great guide from what I've heard and seen. Also I heard JP McKay is good too.
  14. I would take you up on that offer but I live in Florida.
  15. This would probably help a lot. I was using a 6" BPS Stik-O with a 3/8 oz weight and little to no patience lol. My retrieve was very fast compared to what you are saying. I will definetly go at turtle pace, lol, next time I go which will probably be in about a month. Thanks for the advice! Your always a big help when I need it!
  16. I see people catching hawgs at holiday park and catching multiple of them. I went today, it was a bit windy and a bit of an overcast. Didn't catch a single fish. Tried senkos (watermelon red and junebug), tried topwater frogs, a rapala xrap, and live shiners. IS IT ME? Or is it the fish? Or is it the areas I fish? I launched off the boat ramp farthest west not the one by the entrance and went west until the first right. Fished for a few minutes on that canal then went all the way to I-75 and fished on the canal on the north side of it for 30 mins and caught nothing. Then went to the canal on the south side of I-75 and went about a mile passed where there is a little turn to keep going west. Nothing. Not even a bite. Then we went back and fished on the side and as we were heading to another spot we saw a guy and his son pull out a nice 5 lber out of the pads. I got jealous Sad day of fishing. So what do I do? I love holiday but never catch anything. HELP ME PLS lol
  17. Going to fish for some peacock tomorrow, anyone else going out? Going to use some topwater things, rapala's and live shiners. Any suggestions? What produces the most fish for you?
  18. If you want to find structures in your lakes go to google earth and they have a time feature where you can go back in time. Look through each year and most of the time you will find a year where the water levels are low and you can see structures and forage. Sometimes you can see parts of the lake that didn't have water or little water and from there see what you can find or guess what's there.
  19. The sports grill in the same shopping center is really good too! $.65 wings on Mondays I believe!
  20. I know exactly what your talking about. In the next few weeks I'm gonna go out sometime there in my boat. Thanks!
  21. Yup I've fished there a few times in the canal by cancun grill. I've caught one from there and seen a few carp in the canal along the palmetto south from Cancun Grill. I'll try this spot again since it's close. Any reccomendation on lures?
  22. If you don't mind me asking, what canal system do you fish? I know a lot of people don't like to share their spots so you don't have to answer.
  23. I live in the neighborhood next to Palm Springs North, it's right along I-75 and under Miami Gardens Drive (186 th.) I have a boat so bank or boat is cool. I haven't been able to catch a pea in my canals in about a year but I also haven't really tried. Thanks!
