  1. Hat and sunglasses. Sunscreen if I remember.
  2. Their lures are expensive too, at least in Australia...
  3. There are a lot of Australian-market-specific rods that would fit that bill. Problem is, they're not available for you guys in the USA...
  4. Anywhere of this places on the South side of Atlanta? I am going to be staying about an hour south of Atlanta next August...
  5. I'm jealous too...nothing like that here in Australia...
  6. Yup baby rainbow. What bait did you use in the top photo?
  7. I think those are the same or very similar as our redfin perch!(The ones here in Australia were introduced from England.)
  8. Rapala. X-Raps, original floaters or CD's. Celta spinners too.
  9. Great work mate!!
  10. Congratulations mate, that is one fat smallmouth!
  11. Hey, thanks for the welcome! I live in the south of Australia, and so there are no crocodiles.
  12. One of the most versatile lures around IMO.
  13. Adding to this, my favourite trout lures down here in Australia for rainbows and browns, are the celta-type spinners, also the Rapala X-raps, and Berkley Powerbait nymphs. One last lure, it's an Australian one, I'm not sure if you guys have heard of it, Wigstons Lures Tassie Devil. Great lure, it's like a clear-winged spoon, with a minnow body.
  14. Must've gotten a dodgy batch? My jitterbug is new(like last year) and floats fine.
  15. I like lipless cranks, I use them to target redfin/golden perch/flathead. I use the River2Sea or Rapala ones, and I have lost a few fish, including what would've been my PB golden, only for it to shake the hooks just before landing.
  16. Those are some nice chunky bass!
  17. Hi all! I'm Alex, and yes, I live in South Australia. I spend a lot of time fishing here, both in saltwater and fresh, targetting fish like, golden perch, trout, carp, redfin, Australian salmon, flathead, whiting, bream, mullet, and more. Most of those fish are unrelated to the American fish, even though they share names. Anyway, I do have a big interest in bass fishing, especially, since it has influenced anglers down in Australia, how we fish for fish, like barramundi, perch, and more. The main reason I joined this forum, is not only, hoping to pick up ideas, but also, I am planning a trip to the south of the USA, next June/July/August. So, I hope I can pick up plenty of help and advice!
