So ive have done a little searching on here, not to much on trailer building for a canoe, kayak ect.i found that http://www.texaskayakfisherman.com/forum is a great site for referencing a trailer build. There is over 12 pages of them. So mine is pretty simple. First i started with a harbor freight 40x49 trailer rated for 870lbs. next on the list was 2 sheets of 3/4 in plywood. i also grabbed 2, 2x10x10ft for the sides. i wanted it to be deep enough to carry my tackle bag, life jackets,my daughters gear anchor ect. i cant fit my pole and oars. but with me being able to tow the canoe upright i can just Velcro them in the canoe. This is it so far,i still have to paint/stain it and buy a longer tongue.i went with the 8in wheels A because the cost is a little cheaper and B i really wont be going crazy far at all. cut in the hatch, put the 2 pieces the canoe will be on.i wrapped them in outdoor rug test fitting it all so far thats what i have.figured it may be of some help to someone.

problem is his old test have come back positive with new technology. The man ran an extensive drug lab for his cover ups. cheating is cheating. Whether everyone is cheating or not. he has no morals or intergrity. and if you say well everyone was cheating well then you have no integrity either. no slinging insults but come on. he is a cheater. like Bonds, Clemens ect. its disgusting

was thinking about picking up a cheap kayak for small river fishing. While the canoe is nice and i love mine, forget trying to paddle up stream..lol

if it wasnt for this snowstorm i would have went out tomorrow. thats out of the question now...lol

i own a Old Town Hunter 14ft canoe that ive been slowly turning into my fishing rig. i also drive a Mazda3. My 2012Mazda3 works perfectly for this size canoe.under the hood and under the trunk i install 4 pieces of strap to tie off to. i use only foam blocks on my roof. i have a sunroof so if you do be sure to have the blocks not on the glass for safety.

i have a old town hunter 14 that works good for me, carries all my stuff shallow enough to get into small places. picking up a trolling motor soon for bigger spots.just the paddle out is relaxing in itself

some really good info on here. has anyone had any luck in Lake Rico in Taunton? ive canoed it but not fished it
