  1. Slider rig, drop shot, mojo rig, t-rigged with a small hook, shakey head. Mojo and Drop Shot are my 2 preferred methods.
  2. Aarons magic and bold bluegill.
  3. Aarons magic and bold bluegill.
  4. I prefer the VMC Rugby jigs. I use the Strike King fat baby finesse worms. I use weights as light as 1/8 and as heavy as 3/4 depending on the depth. For starters I second using the 1/4 Oz with light line. Good luck
  5. It's a toss up between Strike King and Berkley. Strike King for their line of traditional plastics and of course their Rage Line which I absolutely LOVE. Berkley because of their vast variety ... between Gulp, Havoc and Powerbait they cover it all! If I had to choose just one ... Berkley.
  6. Got one for christmas. Things cut through braid like butter.
  7. Bought some blade bait (chatterbait type) jigs to build over the winter. My question is about powder painting the head. Do I powder paint and cure it before I add the blade and pinch down the end? Thought I might crack the paint doing that. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
  8. I use it like I do a Mojo rig. It's either a steady drag or twitch/hop type retrieve. It doesn't come through grass as smooth but deadly otherwise.
  9. I can't speak for the G-Loomis worm bag but other manufacturers sell these as well including plano, spiderwire, BassPro, Cabelas etc.
  10. Makes me thankful for my desk job. Sick video. Thanks for the share.
  11. Already mentioned ... For warmer temps I would test the waters deep using jigs and cranks if possible. Don't forget about finesse techniques like drop shot or the weighted wacky senko as well. Welcome and good luck!
  12. x2 on this one ... I plain suck at it!
  13. I prefer 30's for most. I have one drop shot setup and one dock skipping setup which uses the 20. FWIW both are lined up with 15lb Smackdown and I use leaders from 6-12 lb FC.
  14. I use a Plano Pro Latch 705 XL Stowaway. Within it I use 1 Gallon bags to separate the plastics by category (lizards, tubes, senkos etc.). Within each I put the baits in their original packaging.
  15. If you are fishing familiar waters you should have a good gauge for the type of techniques which should work on it. With that said the suggestion of a "Day box" is spot on. I have one plano for a large body of water which I hike. It has all the essentials for being able to fish the areas I enjoy fishing. There are some parts of the reservoir which "bloom" for Frog fishing. During those times I add that to my mix.
  16. Every time he used the phrase "Boo-Yah!" it made me smile. RIP Stuart ... Boo-Yah!

    Welcome!
  18. Last year was my first using buzzbaits. You cannot go wrong with Cavitron. I personally prefer the 3/8 white.
  19. From that list ... Triene.
  20. Flick Shake works great.
  21. I up'd my line to 15lb Seaguar Smackdown and loved it. Needed some other line and Smackdown wasn't around so I bought the 15lb Super Slick. Worked very well on my Drop Shot with an 8lb fc leader.
  22. x2 on this ... was passed along this tip last year and it became my go-to DS bait.
