LOL. Yeah a caught a bunch this year up to 22# on topwater when they were hitting the Cicadas. The fights were amazing. Get I need to wait 17 years for that bite again.

Fishing in 49* water with a suspending crank bait. In about 4' water and the bait just stopped and pole started bouncing. Pulled back and felt like I was snagged on a stick. Though I had a real big bass on. But then just dead weight. Pulled in the heavy snag and saw I snagged an about 15# grass carp. NO fight at all. I honestly thought it was dead. Layed on its side along side the boat and was barely moving. Got my bait free and it slowly righted itself and swam away. Could the cold affect a grass carp that much? I mean even the largmouth fight a little in this temp water. Maybe I startled it and it had a heart attack LOL

You should be fine because they are in a Mustad package. Mine were bulk in an unlabled bag.

OK so I got these hooks from Lurecraft who is a pretty legitamate place. They assured me they are genuine Mustad KVD hooks. So I dont know what to do now. Maybe an older model? Floated slightly but a couple suspend dots fixed that. But they are all different so try it first. Also depends on water temp.

My buddy is a great jig fisher but fishes a Senko the same way and does not do well with it.

Good bait for the money. They dont always run true or suspend perfectly, but will still catch plenty of fish.

Thats the Idea of a Senko. It has very subtle action. Fish it weightless either Texas or wacky riged. Dont try to import too much action. Just toss or skip it around the bank or under docks and overhanging trees and let it sink slowly. Give it a light twitch or lift slowly now and again. Works best for me in the spring when fish are shallow.

Well after looking at all three sizes under a magnifying glass, none of the points are cone shaped. So I definitely do not have Mustad KVD's? Just want to be sure when I confront the seller. Thanks..

The split ring prob was fixed a while ago on the luck r strikes.. IME the Pointer is a much better bait but douple the price.

Yes the MR is a slow sinker and the SP suspends.

I would switch to a spinnerbait.
