  1. What bait(s) are you wishink to make? Most baits can be made with a single open pour mold. Fish wont care if on side is flat. Making a two piece mold can be challenging.
  2. Strike King is very good about replacing broken lures.
  3. You dont need a specific rod for the 6". Any heavy rod will work. A MH works fine for me too.
  4. Lob cast work well with these baits.
  5. Great job. Glad you figured out what they wanted.
  6. 6" weedless or 68 special are good starters. 8" is a bit intimidating and as said needs more stout gear. I prefer ROF 12. Perch works great in northern lakes and Rainbow trout works anywhere.
  7. I fish those dephs+ in the winter and use a 5/8-3/4 oz blade bait. Let it hit bottom and snap it up and let flutter down on semi slack line.
  8. Just be careful. 10' Jon boats are really tippy. Dont raise the seats high or build a high deck.
  9. You can unscrew the scale and take the plastic switch button totally out and pitch it. This leaves the metal of the switch exposed. You then just touch that metal to the contact to turn on. Works better then.
  10. I have a 70# MK Maxxum and am very happy with it. They make an 80# but alot more money. Make sure your boat has at least 4 gauge wire for the TM (diameter of your pinky). Mine did not and I had to run new wires to get full power out of the motor.
  11. Same as the 2d but instead of a blob, it shows an image of what is really there.
  12. Those came out great. They will catch fish for sure.
  13. Most popular methods you can research are Texas rig Carolina rig Shakeyhead Wacky rig Dropshop rig Jika rig Rage rig mojo rig splitshot rig
  14. On my older powerdrive it was near impossible to run a trolling motor transducer cable.
  15. As said the HB comes complete with transducer. The single HB transducer does 2d sonar, Di and Si. The Lowrance HDS (non touch) come with the 2d sonar transducer. For the Di and Si to function you need to get the seperate LSS-2 which comes with the brain module and Di/Si transducer. Since the transducer is dedicated to just Di and Si, the imaging is superior to HB. It also is nice to mount the Di/Si transducer on the transom and the 2d sonar on the trolling motor for drop shotting up front. I had a HB 898c si and now have the HDS8. The Lowrance is much better IME.
  16. Funny how the prices are insane on the old Wiggle Warts but I NEVER see them reccomended.
  17. I have been fishing the Rapala Scatter Rap crank in Bluegill and doing really well with it. Goes about 4-6' on 20# PP. Very snagless too.
  18. Senkos are like crack and hard to quit. Recently I am in love with my Scatter Rap crank in Bluegill and probably use it way too much.
  19. Is there really a need for the second split ring?
  20. I almost never change hooks on cranks but found these to be very dull. The bait works great but as said too many get off. I just put some #4 Gama short shank RB magic eye trebles on but have not tried it yet. I also have some nice suspending square bills from Baker lures that have VMC hooks and they are just as bad. Another great crank. Fish cant stand the suspending pause.
  21. I work mine sort of like a jerk bait. Different retrieve speeds and pulling the rod tip. I use 20# power Pro braid. It only goes 4-6' down. Been killin every species on it.
  22. I like the Gama Short shank RB Magic eye in #4 for 1.5 and #6 for 1.0..
