  1. Is the X70 builf into the console? If so fitting the widescreen Elite 7 will be difficult. Might be better off leaving the X70 where it is and use a Ram mount tfor he Elite7
  2. Fat Ika rigged backwards
  3. I like fishing cranks but have never done very well. Figured I would bite the hype and try the "new best thing". I got the crank model in Bluegill. Actually one of the most realistic Bluegill paintjobs I have seen. Subtle and not too gaudy. I have been catching the heck out of them on this lure. Bass are hitting it hard as well as Bluegill, Shellcrackers and Crappie. I even got three 20+ pound grass carp on it. Hooks are not very sharp and I need to replace them next time I go to Wallymart. Only seems to run about 4-6 feet for me on 20# PP braid.
  4. Wow you must have world record Bluegills in that lake LOL
  5. This is what I use or a 2: fluke on a 1/16 ball jig with #6 hook. You may snag alot if they are in the trees
  6. I had a bedliner boat and screwed the transducer to a 2 x 4 and used c clamps to hold it in place.
  7. Was fishin this mornin with a Scatter Rap crank. Caught some nice 10" Bluegill and Shellcrackers plus a few 15" bass. Then I made a long cast and KAPLOW! Huge explosion as soon as it hit the water. I reeled hard and nothing. I was bummed. Kept reeling the lure in and it was still on! I felt the weight and it felt me, and took off, peeling drag. It jumped clear out of the water and I saw it was a big carp. I was in open water so left the drag so I didnt pull the hook. Well the battle went back and forth and it ran deep. Had a hard time pulling it up so just let the rod bend. Well after about 5 mins I finally tired it out enough to get it in the boat. 36" and 22 pounds. It was a grass carp. I heard from someone that he had seen them hitting cicadas on top. I guess my bluegill crank was close enough. Was using a 6'6" Med spinning rod with 20# Power Pro Of course its the one day I forgot the camera
  8. Nice. Are the colors upside down because its drunk?
  9. For $50 that first one looks real nice. Should do all you want and more. Free shipping too if you spend a few more cents.
  10. I had a HB 898c si for 2 years and 1000 hours. Never had a problem. Buddy got a HDS8 and I saw a noticable improvement in the imaging So I sold the HB and got an HDS8. Di on HDS is much better than HB Si on HDS shows fish to the side much better than the HB. Both Si show structure well 2d on HB I liked better than HDS Preset radio buttons on HB was nice to switch screens (although buttons on the HDS8 and 10 help) Being able to go back on screen history is nice on HDS I like the two transducers on HDS so 2d can be on TM for seeing dropshotting. My HB was non HD model and very difficult to see in sun I like that the HDS you can move the display readouts where you want HB screenshot make a waypoint every time. This is a negative. Single plug on HB was nice Would like to be able to adjust sensitivity on HDS imaging screens Those are the main features that are most important to ME
  11. If it does it when the trolling motor is not on, then it is in the unit itself. Either a setting or bad unit.
  12. And never reel when the drag is pulling/clicking. You will get twist/tangles in your line that way.
  13. Maybe find a local pro to sponsor.
  14. I think the only topic discussed more than this is the Senko. Try the search for numerous results
  15. Yeah mine gets in the way some, but no more than the giant trolling motor. I have very poor eyesight and it helps me alot. That camera mount looks like it would work well on a smaller FF.
  16. Could the bracket being backwards cause bubbles?
  17. I had a welder buddy make this for me from aluminum.
  18. Canister filters are totaly silent.
  19. Nice fat fish. I miss those northern footballs.
  20. I call this 10"er "Mooch". All he does is eat or wait to eat. I have him two weeks now and it is amazing how well he adapred and is not spooked. 75 gallon with good canister and external filter. Probably wont keep it too long. Here is when I had a bluegill and crappie with him. I since let them go since the bass is too fast and they never got to eat.
  21. I understand that you want your Ipilot to work with the HB. I had an older MK powerdrive with auto pilot and liked it very much WHEN IT WORKED. Was in the shop more than on the boat. Actually caught on fire twice. I assume the newer ones are improved. Just seems like alot of electronics and computer stuff to go wrong in a pretty harsh enviroment. I got a MK Mazzum and am very happy with it. I had a Humminbird 898c si for two years. Worked with no problems. I just got a Lowrance HDS8 and structure scan. The Lowrance images on Di and Si are so far superior there is no comparison. ..Bill
