So you know those craws infringe on strike Kings patent. Even if they are for personal use it is still illegal.

Nice Trailer Alternative To Rage Tail Or Speed Craw
Here is a vid I made of the action of the Basstackle 702 craw. This is only a 1/8 oz jighead.

Rapala Scatter Rap...well???
Fished a jig a couple hours yesterday to shore, docks, and first dropoff with limited success. Figured the last hour I would try my new bluegill scatter rap crank. Caught four decent bass on it. Couple close to the shore and two off a bit. Did not go as deep as I thought on 20# power pro. I will def throw it again and may buy a shad color scatter shad

Why All The Salt?
Airborne and wny are both correct. Heavy salt in a Senko is used as weight so it can be fished weightless. I feel that sticks are the only baits that should have salt in them. And now there is a liquid additive that replaces the salt as balast and actually adds softness and durability to sticks. Big companies will never use it though. salt in craws, worms, etc are used as a filler as it is cheaper than plastic. But the main reason is it makes baits much less durable so you buy more. They also advertise it as a bonus that fish hold on longer. I personally feel this is an old wives tale. As a hobby bait pourer I found it makes no difference. I can add scent or you can add an external scent like JJ's or Megastrike if you think they help.

Concerning The Rage Rig
I use those Mustads with the adjustabke weight. With the weight back they fall very horizontal and work great.

Best Ultralight Lures For Panfish?
I have just stared playing with the small fish and am enjoying it. I like 1/16 jighead with 2" fluke looking minnow I make. Beetlespin and Roadrunners too. Havnt tried a little crank yet. I use 8# powerpro braid and love it. Its diameter of 1# mono and like sewing thread. Saves alot of baits and retieng when snagged on logs. Just pull and straighten the hook and bend it back. I use a 5' 6" lite Ugly stick and a 10 reel. Not exactly ultra light but cast 1/16 baits well.

Magic Craw Skirt
I would show that link to fishingskirts.com and see what he says. I have the Watermelon Magic craw #484 and it is very good. More of a green pumpkin than watermelon. ...Bill

Stunted Bass
Our 300 acre lake is similar but most of our fish are 15". They added sterile grass carp about 10 years ago and there is NO grass. Hence no crayfish and fry get picked off rather easily. Plenty of big bream and crappie but not many small ones. We hope the carp will start dying off and the grass will come back. Our lake also lacks nutrients. But adding nutrients causes an algae bloom and green water. Lake comitee said NO WAY to that. Average catch at our tournies are 1.5 pounds. To catch a 3 pounder is pretty rare. County fish expert says what other here are saying. Remove the bass under 15". We have been taking smaller tourny fish to the local pond but state wont give us lenience on the 5 bass per person possesion law.

Nice Trailer Alternative To Rage Tail Or Speed Craw
That is the 702 craw mold from Basstackle. It is one of if not the best action craws you can get. The bulbous tips act like a paddletail swimbait as opposed to the patented ridges on the Rage products Rage Craw also is excellent and right up there in my experience.

Light Tackle Question
8# is not really light tackle and you should be able to move a fairly large fish.
