  1. I have 2 of those exact setups. I love the Veritas and Lews combo. I am in the process of trying to get all my rods switched to the Veritas. I love these rods, light and tough, with great sensitivity. Good luck, hope this helps.
  2. Me and 2 of my buddies each bought the speed spools last year. We have fished them A LOT, a couple are on spinner bait rods which we trough 50% of the time and they have held up great. We fish 4-6 days a week so these reels get a ton of use. They are just as smooth and tight as the day we bought them. I LOVE MY LEWS!!!!! I am going to try the tournament MG next, have one ordered now.
  3. Ok guys, I am new here and fairly new to fishing, but I LOVE it. I have traded a decade long drug habit for a NASTY fishing habit..... LOL... Which is a good thing, So my question is, I am looking to get a new crankbait rod. I will probably be getting a Abu Garcia Veritas rod. I need help with getting the right rod. It will be my only crankbait rod for awhile so I want it to be versitile as far as what type of crankbaits it will handle. I need help with the length selection and action selection. Also, any input on what other applications I may be able to use this rod for as well. Thanks for any and all replies in advance.
  4. I really love throwing spinnerbaits. I dont really have a favorite brand really. I like to throw a 3/8 - 3/4 oz most of the time. I like to use white, white and char in the day in clear to semi clear water. In muddy water I like to throw a darker color with big colorado blades for a good thump. At night, a black with the biggest colorado blades i have, or double colorado blades. I use trailer hooks alot too. Hope this helps ya. Good luck
