matching rod from mono to braids
What I'm trying to say is the danger of using a heavier rated line vs the rods recommendation. If you have 50 lb test on a ml/xf and you get snagged on a tree, don't use the rod to try and free it with your rod. Use the line! Of course I hope no one uses 50 lb braid on a light stick, I just wanted to make my point clear. Using line that is heavier than the rod rating.

matching rod from mono to braids
Yes that is what I use in general too (braid). Please note though when you have snag DO NOT use the rod to snap the line. You're asking for trouble. Use the line to snap a snag. That is the main thing about using higher rated lines, in general I don't even do that on light line either. A rod is usually more valuable than Line.?

E6X MBR 843C or 844C
I'm about to pull the trigger on a pond hopping combo for me and sometimes my wife. I was going to buy a 843C but I noticed they have a 844C, what I was curious about is that the range on the 844C was 1/4 oz to 1 oz while the 843C was 1/4 oz to 3/4 oz. It threw me off, because I was thinking, wouldn't the bigger range make it a better all around rod? Does anyone own both or fish them both? All I know other than the power difference that the 844C was stiffer. Is it too stiff for the lower range? My wife or I would probably be fishing baits around 3/8 oz to 1/2 oz most of the time. If someone can provide me their insight it would be greatly appreciated!

Compre Rod
At that price that is a good deal. It will serve you well as a work horse rod.

GLX 894C JWR
I'd buy.

GLX 894C JWR
Previous version, I own one and like using it for 1/2 oz, general lots didn't like the previous version. For me I don't see an issue. They are great rods still.

Bootytrain has one, maybe he'll post or maybe send a pm. From the sounds of it, it is a good reel.

shimano chronarch 50mg
You might be able to find the parts if you look. I also would like to know how far you pushed it to the point of needing all new gears. I have two of them and will never let them go! I may have to stock spare parts......

Tatula or Curado, pick one for me.
Actually I'd recommend getting the close out on the CI4+ Chronarch for 199. If you can swing it, otherwise see my previous post. ?

Older Stradic ci+ on sale, is last years version worth full price?
I own the previous version. Great reel, buy it and put the rest of the savings on more tackle. ? Buy the current version in a couple years for the same price when they release a newer one.

Tatula or Curado, pick one for me.
They fixed the TWing problem awhile ago, so you shouldn't have a problem. In my opinion just flip a coin.

I Am Done Buying New Lures!
Good luck brother bass fisherman. I'm doing something the same somewhat. I promised myself to not buy "new in the market lures". I went through all my tackle last week and many unopened packages that I realize I probably will never use. What my plan is from now on is to focus my spending on the tackle I will use daily and not fall for the new shiny things. ?

Shimano worries
Get your money back and get the CT from where I said to get it. It's good deal unless BPS is selling it that low?

Shimano worries
I also agree on the G Series, we're in the minority it seems.

Shimano worries
I sent you a pm to get a deal on a CT if you are interested.

Curious about fishing in Ontario?
You catch'em the same as the south of the border bass. ? No real difference.
