  1. I was using a croix eyecon 7'mlf...worked great then i broke down and got a 13 *** 7'1mlf...havnt got to play with it yet. Anything 6'8 - 7'1 in a M or ML will serve you well

  10. Id look for faircloth to be fishing on sunday for sure
  11. A few years ago ike wrecked hia boat and somebody busted a lower unit up trying to get back to a hole
  12. Its more about the flip than the hookset imo I like a softer rod whn around docks because it helps me get my bait up and under those docks. The rod does more of the work than i do on the flip
  13. The biggest thing i can tell you is "do what you do" by that i mean fish your strengths and if you weigh a limit then you did good! Talk to your boater early so you can get an idea of his plan. That will help you plan your day accordingly Fish your strengths! Tourny day is a poor time to try something new
  14. Who is your horse? I think Hack, Chris Lane and maybe Ike will be hard ro beat. I also see KVD being ticked about missing the classic and laying the smack on em in an attempt to eaen his spot as early as possible
  15. not having a style is my style...im what you would call "adaptive" however if i see timber in the water it is d**n hard for me not to check it out and throw everthing into it lol
  16. I dont however there is one thing that will be on my boat this year for each and every outting...An American Flag
  17. Ill have my daughter out again this year for sure...she did well last season she will be five in a few months and is already hounding me about fishing this year...stupid ice is killin me lol
  18. Find that spot where a small creek or brook runs into the lake...trust me
  19. Some of thier baits are way high in price, some are average. Ofcource you will have the price protected stuff but that is what it is. I like that they have a nice lucky craft, kietech, and megabass selection. They carrt some highend gear if thats your thing. I especially like thier line selection. Seaguar, sunline, Pp, pline, and more
  20. I like a sammy in the rain on top, spinner bait in the middle, jig down low. And last year i fished a dropshot in the rain a lot...did quite well in clearer water. If the water was muddy i went to the jig or a crankbait Muddy just on the bank with a visable clear line...spinnerbait or squarebill
  21. How about a river smallie vs a spot? All the spots ive ever caught reminded me of river smallies without the acrobatics
  22. All are great but the TP and BB1 pro are exceptional for thier price when found in the 160 range. (Which is not hard, infact they can be found cheaper than that)
  23. Ouch...thay money well spent though!
  24. Im slightly different...i wrap em all down 15-20 usually. works for me
