Donating Gear
Does anyone know of a charity or organization that takes donated fishing equipment and tackle and gives it to underprivileged youth? Instead of throwing away older lures, I would much rather see it go to kid who could catch a fish. Thank for any help.

Shearon Harris Help
Excellent fishing lake, Nuclear power plant reactor that keep water temps warmer than most local water which allows the fish to get bigger. Public boat ramp is here. https://www.google.com/maps/place/Shearon+Harris+Boat+Launch/@35.6080496,-78.9412522,920m/data=!3m2!1e3!4b1!4m5!3m4!1s0x89ac97309421c599:0x75452f8ecc24c57c!8m2!3d35.6080453!4d-78.9390635 Holly springs is decent sized town with hotels, restaurants, etc. Not sure about water temps and clarity right now. Decent vegetation in this lake if you like to fish grass lines. https://***/outdoors/bass-fishing/Article/Details-on-the-Two-40-pound-Limits-of-Bass-in-North-Carolina-101458618 Here is a something to get you guys excited

In search of 19-20 ft Aluminum tournament ready boat
Therefore do you consider Xpress better than Crestliner, ranger, triton, lowe alumacraft, Sea Ark, etc? Thank you for this feedback.

In search of 19-20 ft Aluminum tournament ready boat
I have never been in an Xpress and honestly never heard of them until I started looking at Aluminum. I guess it's time to learn more but all reviews/feedback is welcomed before I drop a chuck of money.

In search of 19-20 ft Aluminum tournament ready boat
Thanks for the help. To Clarify. Interested in Triton, Xpress, Alumacraft and Tracker but honestly don't have lots of experience with Aluminum brands so any feedback is appreciated.? Budget is 20-30K. Looking for decent electronics and storage. I don't need a big engine and speed is not important to me. I hear 150 on aluminum is plenty and I would be fine with a 115. Willing to travel 2-3 hour and Knoxville is certainly doable.

In search of 19-20 ft Aluminum tournament ready boat
I am having a hard time finding used Aluminum boats in my area of Western North Carolina/ Upstate South Carolina. I'm looking for 2010-2016 models with upgrades for tournament fishing and occasionally family trips with grandkids/tubers. Any suggestions?

Temps Next Week
Problem is my wife won't trust me to watch the baby while fishing, and she's probably right. Just have to separate new born duties and fishing for a little bit. Then it will be time to teach the kid how to fish, I'm very excited about that.

Temps Next Week

Full Moon
I have a tournament on Saturday on Lake Chutuge in NC/GA. Friday night is a full moon and I'm wondering what adjustments I should make to help catch some fish. Do you have any suggestions for fishing the day after a full moon?

Fishing Logs
Here is a log I made in Google Drive. I used it a lot in the past and then over time I just kinda stopped caring. I guess I really did not feel the need to record my 1.5lber spotted bass, just not exciting enough to document the memory. However keeping logs is really helpful for locating fish when the bite is tough. Fish Log.pdf

What Did You Learn From The Classic
I learned that good sacks of fish can be caught during very cold temperatures. And fishing slow is very important this time a year. Did you see how slow Casey was cranking that fish head spin?

Line Strength, Lb Test And Cost
In the store looking at the new brand of Seagaur lines and noticed the 6lb test is the same price as 16lb test. Is there a time when 6lb is better than 16lb? If they are the same price, wouldn't you want the strongest line? Guess it depends on the setup and style your using, but I would buy the strongest possible if it does not make a difference

Snap For Jerk Baits And Crank Baits
no snaps for me, but I'm not saying they aren't useful. Palomar knot takes about 5 more seconds than using the snap, plus I have fat fingers and get frustrated trying open and close those things.

Still No Luck With A Rig
After throwing the A-rig the last 3-4 outings I still have not caught a fish. After whining and moaning to friend, he asked me if I'm throwing it around bait fish. After some thought, I realized I have not been seeing any bait fish at all, 90% of my fish have come from shakey heads in about 8-15 ft of water. So my question is, do you have to be around bait fish for the A-Rig to be effective? It's an awfully big lure that takes lots of energy to chunk and wind it without any success. Any advice is welcomed.

Abu Garcia Orra S Spinning Combo
I asked Santa Claus for a new spinning reel and he brought me a new 7'0 abu garcia orra s combo. After a few trips on the the water, have to say that I absolutely love it for finesse fishing and I feel like I can detect way more bites with its sensitive tip. I love the reel and it's already landed several good fish. For the price $99 I feel like this has to be one of the better combos on the market. Anybody else try this setup?

Best Shade Color For Sunglasses
I'm actively looking for Costas on the web and seems like there is a 1000 styles and colors. Any recommendations for a tournament fisherman heading into the spring and summer season? Budget stops around 75 bucks for now.
