37 Pounds Hawgtech Dominates!
I would like to give a huge shout out to Mike and Leo. They had a whopping 37 pounds today at the park to win the everglades bassmaster open. Mike had first AND second big fish with a 9 pounder and an 8. It couldn't have happened to two nicer guys, they were due. They crushed the field by 12 pounds! Second place had 25, 3rd had 23, 4th had 22, and 5th had 21. I had to fish alone because my partner texted me at 5 this morning saying he was sick as a dog. Had a super fun day and weighed in 20 pounds. Right on Mike, hellavu job!

Hot Holiday
finally figured out where the bigger fish are at holiday. it's frustrating when your catching between 20-25 pounds and you're not even close to a check. wednesday niight i went out and had 25 pounds from 4-7. went back yesterday from 1-7 in a completely different area with the same pattern and had 32 pounds. went back this morning at sun up and had 31 pounds by 11:30. i think its safe to say i'll be fishing the open tourny out there next sunday. holiday is on fire!

Lake Trafford Info, Good News!!!
My friends Ross and Joe took Susan Cocking out 2 weeks ago and did well. I've never fished the place before, but it's always good news to hear a lake that was once thought of as dead, return to glory. http://www.miamiherald.com/2014/03/27/4020776/bass-fishery-comes-back-to-life.html

Who Uses ( Spoons) In Here?
If you ask any "old school" lake okeechobee guys, they will all tell you that a gold johnson spoon with a white grub trailer is one of their "go to" baits. 2 weeks ago I pulled one out because we were fishing pencil grass on the south end, and I absolutely stroked them on the spoon. I would make super long casts and slowly retrieve it back to the boat letting it fall in any open hole i swam it over. It is a weedless bait that flutters as you slow roll it. An "old school" fella that I know swears by them

Loxahatchee?
I think you do need a flag when fishing the flats. I know you do when you are on the flats at holiday. I could be wrong. I have been banging giants in the west canal that runs north. I have been getting all of my fish flipping. PM me your number and I will text you locations.

Value Jet Memorial In Miami,,, Good Or Bad Fishing???????
Roger I remember reading Steve Waters column when he reported that. For a solid year, I was averaging over 20 pounds every tournament in the L67. I fished between cuts 4 and 8. When the water is low, its game on.

Value Jet Memorial In Miami,,, Good Or Bad Fishing???????
If your fishing from shore, throw a big 12" worm with a 1/2 ounce tungsten. If you are parking at the ramp that is by that spillway, just fan cast that entire area. There is a ledge with rocks. Cast to the pads and drag that big worm back, should get bit. I've caught big fish from that little bend canal before you get to the trail. Snakes work really good as well.

Boat Crash
WOW! I've run that same trail a hundred times and every time i'm looking ahead for that same reason. i always go as slow as possible so i can react quickly if need be. i find myself only running that trail now if it is super snotty on the lake. that was heavy for sure. was this the same crash that involved brandon mcmillan?
