My partner missed a giant on a big worm throwing it across the canal. If he catches that fish, we might have won. Holiday Park. You know you're at Holiday when you see the same guy playing that ring toss game on the boardwalk at 6 and he is still there at 1am. He was smashed! I hope he was staying in a tent behind the park.

fished lukes night owl tourny last night and caught a bunch of fish. the tourny was from 6pm to 1am. i had all of my fish before 7:45. ended up in second place with 20.21 and had second big fish with a 6.18 pounder. bugs weren't too bad and i didn't hit any gators. fun night.

no skirt for sure. i use a fluke, not the super fluke, but the regular fluke. i use the short bill scrounger when i want a faster retrieve, and the long billed scrounger when i fish slower and deeper. like the others said, just reel them in and hold on.

grab 2 or 3 of them. get a dark one and a light one. i also love the phoenix vibrating jigs. before the original chatterbaits were sold to another company, they were the best imo. since the other company pruchased them, the quality of the bait plummeted imo. the 3 i would go with are: black/blue, watermelon black flake, and white. hope this helps.

i hope your right about not pushing that water down here. the park is FINALLY turning on. it seems like it has been 2 years since the bite was this good. the problem with our fish, is that everybody knows where and what they are biting. we'll see on sunday. good luck mike. i hope you guys tear them up.

im close to 30. im done prefishing. i will be rolling the dice on sunday and hopefully my fish will be there. fishing is a crap shoot. you never know until tourny time. see you guys sunday.

i fished the park today and crushed them. had close to 30 pounds. the topwater bite is on! ill tell locations after next weekend. it was windy today, but i prefer to fish in to the wind.

mentally if you start out with your "panic baits" and they don't work, then what? i approach tournaments by pre-fishing and working with what i find during that time. pre-fishing is the key to success in my opinion. the windows of opportunity must be taken advantage of to be successful.

obviously the guy can fish. his obsession with kvd is what i find most irritating.

25 pounds won, 22 second and 21 third. big fish was 7.84 pounds. my partner and i had 11.84. i caught a five pounder and that was it for our big bites. that lake will humble you in a flash! still love the place though. now its back to the canals.

thank you sir. that is the exact set up i had for my maxxum 101 and they would not pull apart-hence the reason i need a new set up. by using that dielectric grease, will that solve the problem i had?

i was going to fish bassbusters, but decided not to because it took 35 pounds to win yesterday. so my partner and i just went fun fishing. we put in at slims and stayed south all day. had between 18 and 20 pounds with this 8.44 pounder. i thought for sure she was a ten pounder until i put her on a scale and she came up 8.44. a fat beautiful girl.

i went down there a couple of years ago with a friend and crushed them! gartracker is spot on with the burglaries and damage. my friends truck was burglarized and both windows were shattered. the thiefs absolutely destroyed the inside of his truck. the only thing they go was change from his cup holder and some cd's. shady area for sure.

i know a guy who fishes that exact combo 90% of the time. he ALWAYS catches fish.

Yea that was him. i had a boatload of yardwork to do as well as 2 birthday parties, so i couldn't fish it. those power poles are like goal posts. when they are up it is kind of a pain to cast off the back of the boat. when they are down, you don't budge! his lake and bay is the baddest boat i have ever fished out of. i have an r91 ranger and i love it, but i would much rather fish out of his lake and bay.

A couple of years ago the water was extremely high in the Everglades and I had a tourny at a place called the holey lands. My partner and I were working this ledge when we heard what sounded like a child crying. To our absolute amazement, we saw a female panther with 2 kittens. We watched them in awe for 30 minutes. I have seen several people making woopie, dead boar floating in the water, pythons, bobcats, deer, homeless people etc. nothing will ever top those Florida panthers.

that's fantastic. the lake is fishing very tough right now. kudos to those gentlemen.
