stay on the alley then. i think 12-15 pounds will cash acheck this weekend. i have found some fish, i just hope they hold up.

this sunday the King of the Glades qualifying round 4 is at holiday park. the fishing is starting to pick up. anybody fishing it? hope to see you out there.

fished holiday last thursday and had a tourny on sunday. there are finally some fish in the canals. caught about 15 fish on thursday. didn't get them until late in the day when i found a little pattern. caught 10 fish in an hour. i had a club tourny on sunday and that same pattern worked. i only had 9 pounds, but it took second. i should have had 15+ pounds, but i lost 3 good fish. all bites came on top and while bait was dead still. painful but effective. the water has dropped, but there is still water on the flats. hopefully it will continue to get better.

my parents bought their first house on c14 in 1966. even though it is dirty (shopping carts, cars, mattress' etc.) you can catch some big fish in there. my club fishes it once a year. the g8 is also good. if lox is slow, i go to the g8 and always catch good fish. both c14 and g8 also have HUGE snakeheads. i surprised they didn't shock any up.

check your pm. i was at holiday ALL day on thursday. managed 10 pounds or so. i have a club tourny tomorrow there, not sure if i am going to fish it though. the lake is still hot.

i love to catch carp on ultra light set ups. i use tiny hooks and i use ficus berries. i only target carp when the berries are dropping and the carp are waiting to gulp them in. it is super fun to catch a 40 pound carp with 6 pound test on ultralight setup. the only thing that sucks is getting those slimy, nasty things off the hook.

i had 2 friends from LA in town so i took them to lake o. put in at slims and fished from 7-3. the water was pretty dirty from the heavy wind last week. caught a couple on a spinnerbait and headed in farther to find that clean water. as soon as we did, we got a bunch with this being the biggest. she slammed a pop r. it started to slow down so we went to grassy. water was dirtier and we caught 2 dinks. split and went to ritta. water was super dirty over there as well. went back to pelican and caught another dozen or so. even though it was a slow day, my friends were stoked.

wow that sucks rob. how much weight did you have? i would get a big O in a flash. guy in my club has one and they are sweet. glad you and your partner made it out ok. that lake is a beast when the wind blows.

he is only leading by 8 pounds. anyone of those guys could sack them today. come on brandon!

every guy who i know who has a storm, has had it for a loooong time. most of them just repaint and repower. speaks volumes for the quality of storm boats.

i accidentally found a great paint to use when painting tungsten weights. as i was painting one of my surfboards, i tried the paint on a couple of tungsten weights and it held up longer than spray paint. it was a sharpie paint pen. give it a try.

he confessed. he will probably get life because of his first time status and confession. either way, the okeechobee/fishing community lost a great man.

i will be fishing it. the fishing is tough, but somebody has to win.

those kids must be stoked! i would have done so much better in highschool if there was a fishing team. then again, i was on the surf team and i skipped a lot of school.

fished from sun-up til 2 and caught them pretty good. it was freezing this morning and rough. when i finally got to my spot, the water was dirty and i thought i had made a mistake coming to the lake today. didn't catch crap and decided to pack it in and call it a day. as i was heading in, i saw an area that looked clean. shut down and started to fish. first cast missed a 4 pounder at the boat and the very next cast caught a good one. for the next hour i caught a bunch of 3 pounders and had close to 20 pounds with my 5 biggest. it is amazing how discouraged you can be and as soon as you start catchin 'em, your mood changes. i love lake o. the pics are for you doug.
