you can if you stay in the canal (where you put your boat in) and run west, it only gets dicey when you leave that canal and enter open water. hug the shore and there is somewhat of a cut. i haven't been out there in 3 weeks, but i have friends who have. they told me of a couple of areas up front, but i'm with you, i'm heading west. worst case scenario is i have to troll back to the canal. i am gonna try to get out there one night this week to see whats up. i will fill you in if i do.

fished john's tourny out of belle glade. stayed close and caught fish all day. had 17 pounds and went to see what was leading, and it was crazy. 34,32, 29, 28, 28. needles to say, we let our 17 pounds go. still lots of fish and the water is actually up (11.58). it was hot and at times there was no wind. the lake is amazing.

i just got a couple of bags of those frogs at the 4th round qualifier of the kotg series. never tried them, but after those pics, i will certainly be giving them a go.

i was up there a couple times last week and continued to crush them. the lake should remain hot, but be careful because it is becomming extremely low. i know of 3 people that lost their lower units. i have been fishing holiday park a lot preparing for the 4th round of the king series. if you ever make it down here, let me know and we can hook up. lox, holiday, sawgrass and the holey lands are all on fire.

dsaavedra your pattern rocked em today. started throwing spook, then vixen and was catching 3 pounders. tied your custom painted spook and started whacking them pretty good. here is a pic of a 4+ that took on my first cast with your design. pm me a cost of what you will do a lunker punker in that sme bluegill pattern. your the man.

last day od spring break and i hit the park with my son. put in @ 9 and fished until 3:30. caught small fish down south and found some nice chunks north. 5 biggest went close to 23 pounds. hot day. tourny sunday, i hope these fish hold.

fished from sun up til 3:30. took 2 of my saltwater friends who have never been to the lake. put in at slims and went to pelican. the water was dirty (dirtier than it has been)and we caught small fish with a 3 pounder being the biggest. i was becoming worried because i had bragged to these guys that right now the lake is producing giant fish and here we were catching 2-3 pounders. stayed there until 11 and decided to go to ritta. the wind was starting blow pretty good and it was not as clean as it has been. throwing a big ez i had a huge wake follow and i swung too early. told one of my friends to throw back there and a giant engulfed his dipper. easily 6+ dish. these guys insisted on throwing their spin gear. fish took him to the weeds and she came unbuttoned. 10 minutes later my other friend has a giant on a horny toad. nice 5.15. his biggest bass ever. decided to pitch a jig and caught 4 fish over 5 pounds, with this 7 pounder being biggest. had easly 25+ pounds. the lake is still on fire! i love living in south florida. holiday park on friday.

fished the park today from 9-4. brought my seven year old son with me and he lasted all day---stoked. my 5 biggest was close to 20 pounds. swim baits, spook, swamp donkey and jig all caught fish. caught a 6 pounder that had a head of an 8. totally spawned out and super skinny. the park is hot. going to the lake tomorrow and back at holiday on friday. go get 'em boys.

figured it out. take a pair of hemostats that lock, and place them through the 2 holes. open them up and place the skirt/legs in the vice. pulling gently, they come through.

anyone know how to replace the legs on a hollow body frog? i have tried the tube thing, but it doesn't float right. i have a couple of swamp donkeys a that need leg replacements. is there a tool that is used to feed the skirt through the holes? please someone help. the frogbite is starting to turn on here and the donkey is the bait.
