Felix how long was your leader

Does anyone do it? I kno a dropshot is a finesse technique will the braid affect the presentation. I was thinking of using a leader mabey 5 or 6' or longer if need be. My reason for this is I keep losing fish and I was thinking the braid will help my hookup to land ratio

I the thing is I only get spinner bait bites during the early spring. Im stocking up now to get my collection of spinner baits together. If a swim jig is finesse then its my best bet for the lake i fish. At my pond the fish are more aggressive, but the lake fish are a little more wary. I have to do what i did with all my other techniques, fish them and only them until i develop confidence in them.

Do you guys use split tail trailers or a grub or swwimbait

What is your favorite of the two In what situations would you pick one over the other and why

I just read it lol its only on two bags but I was wanting to try the twitch tails

Berkley powerbait products are $.99 after mail in rebate. I bought ten bags of the grubs and twitch tail minnows fro dropshot fishing.

I also like the big bite baits shakey tail worm. The shorter ones work better on a dropshot.

Im thinking about fishing spybaits how do they work and how do you fish them.

Yea durability was a factor for me I love the action of roboworms I may get both

MacP I didn't know that the roboworm had the bold gill color didn't see it on TW. I will look again

I have tried for the longest to catch a fish on a dropshot. I was casting around on a riff raff covered bank and I noticed the water was very dirty. I thought the fish might be close to the cover so I pitched to a dock. As it was falling I felt a tick, not paying attention I thought I had landed on the bottom. I started to work the bait and I felt a pull. I went to pull into him and he had set himself the drag started screaming, im so glad to catch this fish. It helped me gain alot of confidence in the dropshot.
