  1. I can hold 5 with how I have my crate set up currently
  2. I get it. Stupid question. I just have a tendency to overthink
  3. Kayak so space is limited
  4. I had the Veritas on there but never got what I thought was an equal trade offer. I was just curious if I was over thinking what rods I carry
  5. Most of my rods right now seem to be Medium heavy. My question is how many is too many. Right now I have a 7'2" cumara for jigs, 7'2" crucial for trigs, and a 6'9" Veritas for spinners/buzzers. Is it redundant to have 3 setups with basically the same specs? They only difference between the Shimanos is on is fast and the other xfast. Should I try to trade or sell one or keep it as is. Thanks
  6. Check Dick's sporting goods. I got a new Citica G for $70 during a close out.
  7. Hat, sunglasses, sunblock on arms and neck. Soon a buff. Mom just had some melanoma removed so I'm not f-ing around.
  8. Wow, I'll Def keep an eye out. Walmarts near me don't usually carry tungsten sadly
  9. Glad I saw this thread. I bought some strike king tungsten from wM at 7.99 for 4
  10. I got one for the same price and I enjoy it. I often wonder if the tourney is worth the extra $ I have a tp and it's pretty nice. Lews makes a nice product
  11. I got an Ogio bag from a thrift store for 8 dollars and just add plano 3700 3600 boxes. Bags tailored for fishing gear seem expensive when you can get away with using a standard back pack
  12. Thanks for the input guys. I've thrown a few square bills on this rod and most run OK but some seem to spin on their sides. I'm not sure whether this is a function of the rod though. I'll definitely be throwing some spooks w it, I think I could walk them better w a spinning rod than casting.
  13. I picked up one of these for $20 a month ago. Just curious if anyone else has one and what they use it for. It's 7' medium power w moderate action. I assume from the name it's supposed to be used for cranks. Anyone throw cranks on spinning gear? Any reel recommendations? Thanks
  14. Hey thanks for your responses guys. Hit the Delaware river out of Bushkill and it was awesome. Will definitely be back
  15. I'm up here in stroudsburg/marshall creek area and was wondering if anyone could help me locate a decent place to bank fish, a spot to launch my kayak and possibly rent one for my gf, a decent tackle shop. Anyone have any recommendations? I'm not trying to spot burn just want an idea of where to head. Thank you
  16. I like that orange one. The seats on these look much nicer than the one on mine. Good luck w them
  17. Most people recommend crushing barbs on bucktails when fishing for stripers in the northeast. One author I read up on claims barbs prevent solid hook sets but who knows. I crush mine and and I'm not sure whether I hook more bc of it but it makes the hook come out easily, which is nice when you unhook something with teeth.
  18. Good luck with your boat man. It definitely beats being stuck on the banking looking at all the fishy spots you can't get to.
  19. Pretty new to cranking but I threw an XCS 200 and that thing moves all over. The only problem I seemed to have was that It would surface and spin then get tangled. Could be reeling to quick maybe. Anyway, it moved left to right pretty nicely.
  20. Everything I've learned my grandfather taught me. Knots, baits, how to handle a boat etc. My dad and bros aren't into fishing which is sort of a shame, although last fall my dad came out on the bay striper fishing w us. We only caught shorts, it was cold and rainy but it was good to be out there sharing a beer w them.
  21. My first *** was sent wo a tip. Whether it broke during transport or was never there Idk. Was replaced wo question. Second arrived intact but during my first outing the trim ring on the reel seat fell out of place. Didn't really change the way the rod worked but was rather annoying moving and clicking when I would cast. Again customer service was prompt and polite but I opted to fix it myself with glue rather than ship and wait. Anyway, I agree with what you said; nice rod, good customer service but quality control might not be as good as you'd find elsewhere.
  22. whoa I thought this got buried. Thanks for the responses guys!
