  2. I use both but I like using the baitcaster most of the time. I use the spinning set up when im fishing vertically over the fish and fishing deep. It is just easier to get it down to the bottom with the spinning gear when fishing vertical in 25-30ft of water. ... just my .02
  3. I have a tournament on Saturday, and its gonna be a solid 75 to 80 degrees here in VA for the whole week ... until the night before the tournament - of course- when a slight cold front is supposed to come through, dropping the air temp about 10 degrees. Do yall think that such a small cold front will effect the fishing for the next morning?
  4. right on with the hooks. you might consider trying what they call a "donkey rig", better known as a double rigged fluke. here's the link for how to rig it; http://www.bassmaster.com/tips/donkey-rig and here's a good video about it; http://www.bassresou...-fluke-rig.html hope this helps!
  5. the man is fishing in styleeee!!
  6. So i'm sure alot of you have heard of the wacky worm tool, that metal tube you use to slide the O ring onto the worm. These things usually cost about seven to eight bucks, but here's how you can get two for about $1.50 Go to the sewing section at WalMart and buy a pair of aluminum sewing needles in the largest size they have (the right size is 10mm). These cost about $1.50 for a two pack. (the brand I use is "Boye") Then all you need to do is cut one in half, then thread a screw into the pointy end, and your all set! You can purchase O rings at any hardware store for about a buck. Hope this helps you guys save a couple bucks... Lemme know what y'all think !
  7. sounds like a good idea, but you'd probably need a heck of alot of wieght to keep that bad boy under the water ... i like the concept though!
  8. for the swivels ... do y'all like to use smaller or bigger ones?
  9. right now in early spring, anything that looks like a crawdad is gonna draw strikes, cause that is thier main food source during the winter. But as far as the orange goes, its kind of the same same thing as chartruesse; it triggers a reaction strike just because its so different.
  10. great help guys!

  17. i'd flip a black/blue football head jig with a watermelon rage craw trailer to the sunny side of the hump, on the edge of the grass. Hope this helps!
  18. its a jerkbait, but how muddy is the water? if its not too awful bad, then it should work fine with blue/silver.
