First Build
Wow. Impressive 1st build. I have that same foregrip. I like it okay, a little bulkier than expected.

4 Carrier Vs 8 Carrier Braid
I've always preferred the 4 strand Sufix performance braid. That is until I tried Seaguar Smackdown. I think the extra coating on the 8 strand is just to help with unraveling. Super slick 8 did nothing but unravel for me.

A New Leader In The $150 Baitcast Price Point ????? Sort Of
It's Zaion guys. Geez, get it straight! The Mx can be had for about 170 right now. My love hate relationship with the T3 platform is strictly love. I would have never ever paid 400 bucks for one though.

Bass Fishing Physics
Over complicate things much? I'm all about simplicity. I think I'd rather replace the word physics with joys. Keep calm and catch bass. Perhaps next we should talk about breathing patterns while we fish. I can literally see this thread turning into your written book.

Best Monofilament Line For Baitcaster?
When I want the best, I use Sunline Defier. If I don't want the best, I use anything else.

Daiwa Diehard Might Have To Make A Change
I think if Daiwa were to bring over the imports as Shimano did they would be on more equal playing fields. The Zillion is without doubt a bust, yet the Tatula is quite possibly the best poor man's reel ever produced. The Chronarch is a great reel, the Curado is so so. Besides that you have to pay to play. If Daiwa introduces a US version of the Alphas SV it should make a lot of folks happy.

Whats Your Favorite Prespawn/ Early Spring Squarebill ?

Shimano Zodias Rods
I've been eyeballing the medium light. I've read a few mixed write ups concerning actions. A few say it's pretty fast. Others state it's somewhat parabolic with a quick, crisp tip. I don't know

Any News On The Dobyns Fury?
Why would I need more than a full hour to determine if a rod is all that plus a bag of chips? Also, why would anyone comment to post factual information about the Fury? I don't think anyone has one yet, do they? So we automatically assume this will be the 100 dollar rod to have because it says Dobyns on it? Self explanatory right there. Must be the bees knees, it's a Dobyns!!

Major Craft Nanoace Rods
I think we should all pump the brakes a bit and wait to see what happens in the near future with Major Craft in the States. Nobody wants them to bring the good stuff more than this guy.

Any News On The Dobyns Fury?
Yeah, I 2nd the Savvy being rather lifeless. To bad really, cause it's a nicely balanced rod. I can't imagine a less expensive option utilizing a more crisp, higher quality blank, but what do I know. Dobyns is kinda like this imo. Persons who have used lesser quality sticks primarily looking to perhaps upgrade see all the fanboy posts all over the Web and take the plunge. The Champion series is okay, but personally I feel there are better options at every price point. Enjoy what you use, that's all that matters.

Daiwa Alphas Sv
Booty - Proper review or factual opinion? Are you looking for comparisons? To what? Distance is not much concern to me as circumstances where I need it are seldom. I can cast an SV equipped reel as far as my 51s. The bait size and weight versatility is more important to me. Then again I only run 6 casting rigs, where a lot of people have twice that. I would rate my casting abilities a little above fair, making these reels ideal for myself. To the Op, what type of comparisons are you after? I just received my Alphas SV yesterday, but plan on getting a few casts in very soon.

Scents Don't They Just Wash Off?
I stopped putting megastrike on my hard baits. It's very difficult to remove, especially if you apply it in the heat. I soak some of my soft baits in smelly jelly, but that's about the extent of it.

More Jerkbait Questions
That's an extremely hard question to break down and analyze. I can hear how various rattle traps sound when I'm burning them and they start to near, but a jerkbait is a little harder. Plus I have no idea how it sounds to a fish.

Show off your Stuff
Got my new Alphas SV! Put it on my 6'9 Major Craft Corzza medium - regular fast. Should be great for shallow cranks. Quick note - NO bearings in the handle, 4 bushings. Fixed that right quick and added a 90 mm carbon handle.
