I would use a Lowrance 4 (one in that series) my dad has a color one that he got for $169.00 and is great for the price

I have done this before and I like the falling action it gives it when you twitch it, I would say it is worth to try

It all depends on what I am throwing, if the bait is expensive I usually keep it to myself, unless it is family or in a tournament

This past weekend I was out for 9 hours Sunday..... after trail and error I final got a solid pattern down. The bass were back in Bays feeding on the bluegill spawning, I was throwing a BPS Humping Toad on a 4/0 Wide Gap VMC Fast Grip Hook. I was having strikes every 5 cast (some were bluegill but I did not count them) I caught two bass. Every time I set the hook I just jerked the bait right back at the boat, so I tried waiting to set the hook and this did not work either all it did was keep the hook from coming at my face. I should have caught 55 bass, I could see them hit and swim away on some occasion and it was AWFUL!!!!! I was wondering if you guys could help this weekend will be the same weather and I feel that this pattern will work again, but not my question is; What am I doing wrong, do you guys having any advice, hooks, hook-set..... I would go with something in the middle, maybe a 15lb-20lb range would suit you well

I read in his book that Shaw Grigsby says the fish notice it but he always wears it but just washes his hands before handling tackle..... I never used to wear it because we went to Florida in the spring and then I would never burn all summer up here in Wisconsin, but fishing everyday last summer I noticed I started to get more freckles..... well my mom informed me that you do not have to get burned to have the sun harm your skin, skin cancer cans till devolve without burning..... I now wear sunscreen everyday I go fishing, plus it does not limited my fishing (by having to stay in the shade) If I was you I would definitely wear it.....
