  3. It was a nice fight, I was disappointed that it didn't jump but hey I'm just glad I got it in the boat. It measured right at 19in. Thanks all... Siebert I will be ordering some jigs before too long I hope
  4. DVT of those three which would you recommend?
  5. Gander has their house brand GSX reels on sale. They have their Elite which is usually $129 going for $90... My BPS Extreme's line guide isn't working and its about time to upgrade anyway, has anyone used the GSX brand or heard any good or bad?
  6. Yeah my buddy and i wondered about that as well... The color says smallie the mouth says largemouth... Either way I'm happy lol
  7. Fishing the TN river in Chattanooga... Caught on a big bite baits craw tube... Bass professor app guestimated it at 4.25 lbs... I really need to get a scale lol
  8. So if i go with all braid with leader how long should my leader be... I live in southeast tn and usually fish stained water the clearest i have seen was maybe up to 4 ft visability
  9. I would love to use only one kind of line(different strengths of course) for all applications from weighless plastics to pitching jigs.... could this be possible with something line Yo-Zuri Hybrid or would FC be a better option. I like things to be uniform when possible, somewhat ocd lol.
  10. Eufala would be cool...it would take me back home for a bit
  11. Congrats!
  12. So I stopped into my usual after work fishing hole today and ran into a couple fellas getting ready for a tournament tomorrow. They were super cool when I told them I was just getting into bass fishing and offered some advice. As they were leaving one of the gentlemen handed me a twistlock hook with a senko style worm embedded with a rattle. He told me it was his go to and he wanted me to give it a shot, just drag it across the bottom, good luck and off they went. So should I drag this across the bottom with a sideways c-rig motion or pick it up like a t-rig motion. Usually people around the water here are not that open to conversation so I was a little shocked and was too stupid to ask him. Thanks and happy fishing!
  13. I have two bass rods currently one a baitcaster and one spinning. I have used spinning and spincast most of my life and just recently picked up the BC rig from a buddy of mine. I feel a lot more comfortable with the feel and use of the spinning rod. Is there anyone who uses only spinning rigs? Is there any application where a spinning rig just won't measure up? I'm sure with enough time I will be comfortable with the BC but I just feel so much better with my spinning gear right now.
  14. Gonna do my best to have a boat in time for the trip next year (my first).. So I'll have a seat for someone!
  15. I keep hearing that they are bringing one to my area over in Cleveland TN. I sure hope they do but we have one just about an hour and a half up the road in Seveirville so who knows. Congrats lol
  16. The mirage is nice but i can't pull the trigger on a $3000 kayak lol... I have been intrigued by the new Jackson big rig as well. I'm 6'2 240 lbs and like how comfy it looks as well as the rod storage on the sides of the yak... Decisions decisions
  17. How does the frontier handle wind?
