Valentines Day
My wife cried when she read the card I hand wrote and attached to the flowers that I had sent to her work today. I say mission accomplished! I also see new fishing tackle in my future with little to no fussing from my wonderful bride...its a win win lol.

H2O Express Mettle/squarebill Question
I love my H2O Mettle, super smooth! Also so far since I have been on a budget and can't go crazy on tackle I only buy their crankbaits. I have caught several fish with them without any problems arising.

Your Occupation To Buy Your Fishing Arsenal
I am a Senior Technician/Compounder for Merck. We are known mostly for our pharmaceutical business but I actually work on the consumer care side of the company. I compound Coppertone Sunblock, Dr. Scholls foot lotions, and Afrin Nasal Spray...so when you can breath thru your nose again after a few squirts of afrin you will now think of me...your welcome!

You're Invited To The 2014 Roadtrip!
Just found out I will not be able to attend my first road trip this year. One great reason is I will be leading my worksite's team in what is called the Relay for Life, it is a great fundraiser for the American Cancer Society and helps us remember those we have lost to cancer and celebrate those who have beaten this awful disease. It is a 24 hour event from the evening of May 2nd thru the evening of the 3rd. The other reason which I am not happy about is that my wifes friend is getting married and I have to go to the wedding that weekend as well. I hope you all have a wonderfull time and hope to catch it next year.

Basic Rod Building Questions
I plan on building a rod sometime before spring gets here, mudhole has a DVD that comes with most of, if not all of their kits. You can also watch their video series on YouTube for a quick intro into the steps needed, it doesn't look to troublesome if you start with a basic build.

So Let's Hear It! What For Christmas??
My wife and kids got me a H2O tackle back pack, and the kiddos picked out some jigs and cranks in some great colors, and my bro-in-law and sis-in-law got me a academy card which may turn into more tackle or maybe go towards some running shoes my current ones have seen much better days! Merry Christmas everyone!

Two Wright & Mcgill Rick Clunn Casting Rods For $50
Just got mine and I can say that I will never order any other fishing rod from Dicks Sporting Goods... 1 rod was shipped in a large triangular shaped piece of cardboard with nothing to cushion the rod, it appears to be ok luckily.... the other rod came in a rod tube as it was supposed to, but the tube was missing an end cap and was just covered with tape, attached to this tape was a two inch section of my rod, the tip was completely broke off. called them and they are crediting me for the broken rod but I let them know I will never order any other fishing rod from them because of their poor packaging.

Asking For A Response From Every Member
1. Patience 2. Take the time to really learn a specific bait. I am guilty of giving up on one thing too quick and jumping from lure to lure. This makes it to where I am not really proficient at any of them. I need to make myself take more time with each type of presentation. 3. Have fun If you stress out too much about catching that monster you may burn out on fishing. Enjoy your time on the water and let it be fun not work!
