Getting together a trip to Caddo lake. Went last year around March 16th, but thought maybe we'd missed them. A buddy and I are thinking about going down March 5-8 this year, but figured I'd better ask the "Experts" on here to get your ideas!

Maybe it's possessed after all! I unhooked the variable speed control, the foot button, AND the three way switch adn it still runs nonstop!

The trolling motor was purchased in 2004 by the previous boat owner. The foot button (the one you press when you want to turn the motor on or off as you are moving from spot to spot) is working, I think.. Even though the blade is spinning full speed, the light on top of the motor (the red arrow) ONLY comes on when I push the foot button. Keep the suggestions coming, I hope to have it fixed this weekend! Maybe it's possessed?????

Here's the thing about the constant on switch - Even if it's stuck in that position, I should be able to adjust the variable speed. But, it stays running full speed no matter where I turn the dial. But, thank you for asking - Please don't be shy, remind me of everything because I am at a loss right now!

Please help! I've got the TR82FB45 Motorguide trolling motor. I got home yesterday adn noticed that the blade was spinning full speed. I unplugged the power from my boat deck, waited for a few minutes, and then plugged it back in again. It started spinning again at full speed. I turned the variable knob on the side forward and backward, but it stayed running full speed. Which switch should I change?

Alright, I'm in a spot... I have a 12 year old Ranger that runs great and looks good too. I have to keep it outside. I live in Arkansas where the summer temps get to 100, and the winter tips dip to almost zero. I bought a $75 cover thinking it would be good enough, and abruptly learned my lesson ;D So, I am in a spot.. Do i go spend $200 or $300 on a better quality cover? Do I buy a cheap tarp to put on top of the cover I have now? The second part to this equation is that I only have enough money to either buy a new cover - OR - go get some weatherproof gear: Boots, jacket, etc... What do you guys think?

I tried the float-n-fly method a couple days ago, but only for about an hour... No hits, but I did manage to catch a nice sized stick up ;D Seriosuly, though, anyone tried the float-n-fly for largemouth?

Well, dang it.... I haven't fished a pond in at least 20 years... I am going this weekend with a friend and our boys to a pond. From what I understnad, the pond is about 25 yards across the middle, and has little visible cover. To make things even worse, my buddy has NO IDEA of the depth.. BUT! His son did catch a 5 pound bass out of it last week, and half the pond was covered in ice, so I know that at least there is one fish in there I am asking for some advice on how to fish this thing Saturday morning.. the weather Friday night up her in Arkansas is supposed to be clear skies with a low around 45 degrees. the sAturdya high is supposed to be mid-50's, although we are only fishing from 7:30 until around 10:00 so I doubt the high temp will factor in much. Any help form my fishing brothers??

I've been thinking about sinking some brush piles in our local lake (Beaver Lake, Arkansas). I've not read enough I guess because I have a few questions: 1. Is it legal? If it's not, then I'll forget I ever thought about it.. 2. Is it fair? I mean to the other fishermen that are in local tournamnets. 3. Is there a "sure fire" way to get it down to keep the fish safe from harm? Any general info you have would be appreciated!

Well, which do you guys want first - The good news or the really good news ;D Just plain ol' good news: I survived my first pro-am, and am going to be in the second leg of the series that's on my home lake (Beaver Lake in Arkansas) in February. - I put up the dreaded "Double Zero" for Satruday AND Sunday, but I did learn some new ways to fish, and really benefitted from my the two pro's that I drew! Now, on to the really exciting good news!!! A newbie member of ours, "Mike D" was in the tournament as well, and was top 5 when I left this afternoon! Mike: How'd you end up, brother???

My first one! I appreciate all the advice I got form everyone a month ago when I first asked about what to take, how to act, what questions to ask, etc...
