Rewiring My Boat And I Have Some Questions
Awesome looking and great instructions. Just a thought for those thinking about it and not wanting to solder. I am guessing you could use these to make your connection, waterproof them with some sealant, then cut the other end and splice in your wire to the next location or back to the switches. http://www.amazon.com/HitLights-Connector-Conductor-SMD3528-Lights/dp/B0062RBR84/ref=pd_bxgy_hi_img_y

Which Hook Do You Use For Bass Fishing With Plastic Worms?
Thank you. I left that detail out. Sorry. I'm usually fishing with a Zoom speed work, trick worm, u tail, or Mag II, and have recently been playing with the 10 inch Rage Tail Thumper.

Which Hook Do You Use For Bass Fishing With Plastic Worms?
If you are going bass fishing, plan to use a Carolina rig or Texas rig setup, and are prepping your tackle, what hooks do you prefer? 1) Brand? 2) Size? 3) Straight or wide? 4) Different hook for Texas and Carolina or do you use the same? I've been using a few different hooks and I think I need to move up to something a bit better. Just curious on the thought from the group. Chris

Is 16.5 Too Short?
That's an excellent point. My 15.5 is already beginning to show me the value of more space. Of course, I am just learning so I carry way too much stuff out. From a size perspective, its fine. Storage could be better and I would like to have more deck surface in the front of the boat.

Is 16.5 Too Short?
I just bought my first boat. Its a 15.5 Tidecraft Spitfire XL. I'm a big guy and the friend that fishes with me is a big guy. Together, we push the max weight limit of the boat. While I will openly admit that I eventually want a 18.8 to 20.5ish boat, that's solely based on our size and my desire for a wider beam and fishing platform. We have had a blast in this one and have found it stable once we got use to the "boat legs" that we had to develop. This boat is cheap to run and easy to pull and store. I'm having a great time with it.

Best Rain Gear For The Money
I own the frog tog lightweight set and the Bass Pro Shops version of it. Both seem pretty much the same as far as quality, but the BPS branded one has a better set of pants that have an adjustable waist.

Soft Bait Storage
Just bought a couple of the KVD worm bags at basspro. $10 each and they hold about 20 bags each. I keep the worms in their original bags to ID them easily. So far, I like the KVD bags.

587 Hd Di.
Hey Guys, I have a 597CI HD DI combo unit and am very new to all of this. So far, I usually adjust my speed to something close to the trolling speed I am doing. say 2 - 3 mph. I then adjust my bottom depth range to double the depth I am in. So in a cove with 8 - 10 feet of water I would adjust it to 16 - 20 ft. I then back down the sensitivity a little so that I don't get a screen full of everything. That gives me a pretty good view in switchfire or B&W and I have been able to find ledges and structure so far. Catching the fish has proven to be a challenge, but I think I am beginning to learn the hummingbird a little more. I hope these tips help. I am sure there are far more things you could set.

Show your ride...
I just bought a 15.5 ft 1995 Tidecraft Spitfire XL bass boat with a 40HP Mariner motor and have been having a great time. Its a little smaller than I want long term, as I am a bigger guy. However, it's been fun and it was cheap. These pics are from when I went to look at it and picked it up. I have since replaced the fishing seats, replaced the trolling motor with a MK V2, and upgraded the ancient B&W hummingbird with a 597ci HD DI unit. I'm reworking most of the wiring now, as I don't like the spaghetti wires running all over the inside of the hull and in my way. I'm almost done there and will also install a good fuse panel. Next on the list is to replace all the switched and maybe rework the dash a bit. I like to tinker.

Pulling A Boat... 4X4 Or 4X2
My suggestion on trucks is always the same. If you think you need 4x4, you need it. If you live in an area where 4x4 can be useful, getting a 4x2 will hurt your resale possibilities too. I pull with a Toyota Sequoia 4x4 right now.

Charlotte, Nc Active Bass Club?
Hi Everyone, I checked the list and saw one BASS clue near the Charlotte area but nothing that's really Charlotte based. Anyone know of one? Lake Norman and Lake Wylie are in the area and both are good lakes. I am thinking there has to be something already setup here and I just don't know about it.
