  1. I actually got some of the havoc crawls two nights ago just to give me a shot. I didnt get anything big but I went through the entire bag in just a couple hours. They were hittin em hard, lots of bites in my usual hotspot. Had them on a texas rig. I have been wanting to try out the senkos as well to go with something weightless. Heard alot of good things about them. Thanks man
  2. Good to see some hometown folks! I lived in aiken all my life but didnt start fishing heavy til i moved down here to the beaufort/hilton head area. The fishing been good in the area? I make pretty frequent trips back to aiken for family stuff
  3. Thats right!! Clowney will be in shape by the end of the season for that Clemson game. Cant get myself to pull for either team but that game last night was fun to watch.
  4. Good to see someone from the area on here! What base are you at?
  5. Ill have to check them out! Thanks for the help
  6. I live down close to the Beaufort now. Been here for about 5 years since i played ball at the college down here. Its probably about 3 hours away. I grew up in Aiken so I am pretty familiar with the Wagner area.
  7. Good Call! I was probably getting a little greedy with the size for this pond
  8. Seems to be that purple and junebug colored soft plastics work best around where ive been fishing lately. I have been pretty cheap and usually buy the cheapest worms i could get my hands on bc ive been paying off alot of wedding/truck bills. But I want to expand and use what would work best. Im a firm believer in quality or quantity so I need some help on this. So tell me...what is your favorite brand of soft plastics? What works best for you in lowlight conditions as far as plastics?
  9. Thanks dday07. Yeah they hit the surface really shallow quite a bit but I cant get them to commit to my poppin lure. Ive been using a Heddon Popin Image. Maybe its time to move onto a different one
  10. Hey guys....new to the forum but I love reading it. Really appreciate everyones advice. My name is Jeremy, I run the activities/events for the marina at a fishing plantation. Just started a couple months ago and I can honestly say...other than being paid to strictly fish, I couldnt be happier and ENJOY my new fishing related job. My life has literally turned around and im lucky to be in this spot especially coming from a job that i was misreble in. Since our platation is on the ocean, no one really seems to have time for bass fishing and im trying to bring that back to this community. We have 14 stocked ponds that me and my boss are in charge of taking care of and im quickly learning thanks to help from my coworkers and the advice from the good people on this site. Im looking to throw some evening friendly fishing events around here and just meet some people in the South Carolina lowcountry that have interests in bass fishing. Feel free to write me and I look forward to hearing from you folks. GO GAMECOCKS!
  11. I have been working at a plantation/marina for about three months now. It is a fishing community on the Okatie River in SC. We not only have the saltwater side of fishing but we have about 14 stocked ponds throughout the property here. With that being said....you can imagine how overfished these areas are. I fish them often and love using topwater poppers because of the strike. I can grab lips one after another with soft plastics and cranks here but i literally have not had one strike on a topwater since ive been fishing them. I feel like ive spent plenty of time showing them different presentations...am I being too impatient or do you think the fish here have just seen it too many times and got smart? Im still somewhat new to the area but i feel like ive done pretty good on matching up lure colors
