I will definitely try again. maybe I just got a bad batch and a bad representative.

one broke on me when I set the hook on a small crappie the other didn't break but would fray my line and would end up breaking all types of line. when I talked to the duckett representative they claimed it was my fault the rod malfunctioned. now please tell me how its my fault that a rod made for catching big bass would break on a small crappie especially when I have always taken care of my rods cause I pay for them myself. and im only 18 so this is a rather big deal to me. Don't discredit me just cause I don't post as much as you either. some f the wisest men never say a word. nonetheless no disrespect im just proving y point that the customer service in some of these brands isn't so great you know?

my biggest issue was they didnt honor my warranty. and i dont know why.... but neither did powell when one of theirs broke on me

i fished mine. and like i said i loved them. but they ended up breaking and i wasn't that hard on them. they're just not that great... sorry if my opinion angered you. Maybe i wouldnt have such a distaste if the company would offer better customer service... but you know they dont... so????? what to do? buy a powell is what i think

there are many different ways to fish it! ive caught 40 bass just popping and reeling as fast as i could! with tight line i might add! so just use trial and error! try different presentations!

These rods were once my favorite. They simply amazed me.... The casting distance and the overall compelling evidence of a perfect rod. I was in love at first sight.. fast forward a few years later.... Now if you ask me what I think about Ducketts? they're trash, better yet horrible. Simply put, Chinese made junk. i've had the tips break in multiple places, the micro guides break off or the inner ring fall out of the guide and cause it to fray my line. then you look for your warranty, and it just ran out... or Duckett wont replace it!?! I'm sorry to those of you that like them, but i respectively disagree on your rod choice. The Duckett brand is nothing more than a company selling a name instead of a good product. just as you see all these younger kids wearing designer jeans. Boyd Duckett and his crew are not making any special product. they are making a special brand to make money off the crap they sale. I myself will never even consider buying a product of theirs again. Please excuse my rant, but have any of y'all had these problems?

Are the megabass ito's really worth the extra $$? i understand that they are "works of art", but really are they worth going and investing in a tackle box filled with them? last time i checked art doesnt catch fish!!!

thanks for responding and yes they can be game changers i caught my first two fish today and one being 4 plus and i was worried the bait might rip but held up good. then i caught about a 3 on it and still looking good. And i iam going to pick up a few hudd shad. As always tight lines!

I have had 5 pound fish strip 10 pound drag from the fish exerting that much force. (SIZE DOESNT MATTER hahaha). Also if they get in brush or grass i can pull them out easier with higher pound drag than 10 pound drag. Thanks for your input and as always Tight lines.

What would be ths cost to upgrade my shimano scorpions handle, spool, and all bearings plus drag? What does upgrading the drag do does it give me more power and if so how much my scorpion only has like 10 and honestly i wouldnt might that number a little higher up at least 14ish.
