  1. Mann's 1-Minus is fantastic in many situations for me
  2. Old thread, but I've been posting a ton lately and this thread tickled my fancy, as my favorite pond is absolutely covered in duckweed. I throw a lot of the Snag Free Mouse, its on BPS for like $6, I use it in Grey. Sometimes they hit that, sometimes a Booyah Poppin Pad Crasher ($6.99, BPS) gets em. I fish the frog in a Bullfrog color, but I want to try a purple frog. The only topwater lure I really didn't like was the Livetarget hard frog. I could get it to look realistic at all. It cast really d**n far, which was nice, but it didn't look good on the water.
  3. I use the Magna O'Shaughnessy Offset and they work fine. Never bent one. I break off like 4 times a day so having these cheap hooks is nice.
  4. 1. Zoom Magnum Trick Worm (Green Pumpkin) T-rig on a 3/0 Offset O'Shaughnessy with either 1/8 or 1/4 weight 2. Mann's 1-Minus in Tenesse Shad (this absolutely slays fish everywhere but it is #2 because if it gets any algae or anything, its action gets messed up) 3. Smithwick Rattlin Rogue in Chrome black back 4. Spinnerbaits, mostly Terminator, but I'm looking forward to trying the new 4 blade spinners from ThrownThunder 5. Frog
  5. I like Rat L Traps, they kill Bass in the reservoir near me
  6. Bass pro has em 12.99, ridiculous. The Arashi Flat looks good and dives to 7. Looks like similar form factor. Opinions? I'm also going to pick up a Norman Flat N, and a DT-6
  7. Those look sweet, but only dive to 3 feet unfortunately. Anything that goes around 7?
  8. Hey all, as a HS student I don't really have the cash to drop $13 on a Spro little John, so I was wondering if any of you had any similar, tight wobble, 5-8ft depth crankbait that you like to use. I fish mostly in ponds with plastics and some shallow cranks, but I plan on hitting Candlewood Lake (in CT) soon so I want some deeper cranks then the 2-4 ft divers I have. Thanks!
  9. Zoom Magnum Trick Worms (8") in Dark Green T-Rigged on offset BPS hooks is a killer
  10. Has to be an Alabama rig. $15 for the rig, $10 for the Jighead's and swims, so $25. Not THAT bad but as a high school student with no job, kinda sucks. I lost a TON of Ronz tails in St Maarten fishing for barracuda this past week. We troll off a little dinghy and were just slaying them, but each fish took a whole tail, so that can add up.
  11. Any way I could do it without buying mono? Would just tieing a weight to it and lifting it up do the trick?
  12. Well, dumb question, new to the forums. I'm not going to go into how often I fish or anything. I have a Penn Fierce 6000 reel, and I have some PowerPro braided, hi-vis yellow braided wire on my reel. But, I am thinking of respooling soon , but I don't remember what strength line I'm using. I really like this line wight, regardless of what weight I should use, I like this weight, but don't know of its 20 or 30 lb test. Anyone know how I can tell which it is? Thanks guys!
