X2. Grab one of his spinnerbaits too while your on there!
  2. They've had a pre-Black Friday sale that ran 5 days or so. Ended yesterday or Wednesday I think.
  3. Never thought of using it to make molds. That would probably be an easier way to start.
  4. Any jigs or spinnerbaits: http://www.siebertoutdoors.com/ Cheaper/comparable to what you'd pay for in a store, but way better quality and customizability (is that a word?)
  5. Has anyone used 3D printing technology to prototype/manufacture lures? We have a 3D printer that uses ABS plastic, but not sure if this is viable. I'm thinking you could make two halves of a crankbait then epoxy it together with the eyelets for hooks. Thoughts?
  6. Why is it called Line and Lure? Is there ever a situation where you apply it to your lure? Thanks for the quick responses. Sounds like you need to be a little heavy handed with it.
  7. Getting my second baitcaster setup tomorrow - Lews Tournament SS and a 7'3 M/F ***. Going to spool it with 12# Yo-Zuri and use it for small cranks, lipless, dropshot, anything finesse, etc. I've been reading a bunch and it seems like L&L conditioner is universally recommended to help with line memory. What are your tips on using KVD L&L?
  8. +1 on the Vendetta- great rod for the price!
  9. I have a Revo SX and 6'6 MH Mojo Bass "Jig-n-worm" so pretty similar to what your looking at. I'm not a huge fan of my Mojo rod, wish I would have gone with a Veritas or other rod in the price range. Love the Revo SX though.
  10. Whereabouts in Kansas are ya? There's a pretty big group from KC that is active on here.
  11. You guys convinced me. I've never really fished spinnerbaits and the one that I do have is a 3/4 oz Firetiger.. I think maybe a little too big for my waters. Just ordered some 1/2oz Cosmics from Siebert. Chartreuse, White, and Chart/White. Been skunked the past few times I've been out and looking for other ways to catch 'em. What all do you guys use for trailers? I have some 3" salt'n'pepper split tail grubs? Thanks for the advice!
  12. Another vote for the Power Pro Super Slick. I run 30lb on my spinning setup and no noise.
  13. I had some back ordered jigs, ended up calling them and they shipped me plastic worms that I wanted, free shipping and I think the worms were $0.75 more total than the jigs.. No problem, great customer service!!
  14. I've used this rod and it is nice for the money, but it's not nearly as sensitive as my Vendetta. I'd stick with your current setups and put the money to new lures instead, IMO.
  15. I have both, on different reels, and prefer the slick. Ties easier too I think.
  16. Over a dozen new jigs and probably a dozen new trailers.. Some crawfish, creatures and swimbait. Went ahead and refilled some of my terminal tackle too. Is it bad that I spent more on fishing supplies in 2 days than I did on groceries in August?
  17. I had heard Kingman was drained recently to get rid of carp. Is it still a good fishing spot?
  18. Hi Branden, My fiancée is from Stafford KS so I'm down in that area quite a bit. Wilson is a pretty good lake, I've had good luck with stripers there. I've been going down to Pratt State fishing lake when I'm down that way. Welcome to Bass resource! Max
  19. Dick's Sporting Goods. It was just the 7' heavy rods. Sounds like I need to get out on the water and try it!
  20. Headed to a family trip at Cheney this week and wondered if there was any decent fishing there. Anyone have any tips on what's catching there recently? Any other suggestions for lakes down in south central KS? I've heard Pratt is good but never made my way there.
  21. So I think I got a steal today, but would like some opinions.. Found a 7'-0" Abu Veritas heavy for $40 and a Abu Orra SX baitcaster for $40 also on clearance. Currently I only have a 6'6 Abu Vendetta and Orra SX spinning setup. I fish a lot of solid frogs and Texas rig worms, craws, and creatures. Been using more jigs in spring, but not as much in the summer. Don't really fish a lot of crankbaits. Was the new setup worthwhile? I think it'll be good to transition some of my frog fishing to the heavy baitcaster. Any thoughts?
  22. Been lurking on bass resource for a while and finally have questions of my own so I thought I'd make an account. I'm around central KS. Fishing around Hutchinson, Manhattan, and KC. Glad to join the forum!
